I found Robert Fogel's perspective on the American cyclical progression of political/religious synthesis enlightening, and refreshing. Fogel's secular views chime in now and then, but they are under a veneer of worldly experience, not biased partisanism. I particularly found this book useful, (as I am pursuing a political science degree), and revealing pertaining to the history of American society, and the foundation of American government.
I bought this album in 1985 and have listened to it over and over and over! It is brilliant without trying, sharp and beautiful without guilt. These Scottish brothers are geniuses and share such high art ranks as do great bands like the Cocteau Twins and New Order! The best thing about the J&M Chain is their lack of overkill! Buy it!

I've seen this movie about 20 times and it never grows old on me! My little sister (10 years younger then me) is now as obsessed with it as I was and am. It's timeless! I would kill for this soundtrack! Everytime I think of this movie I want this damn soundtrack! Buy it! And pass it along to someone young and carry on this gorgeous punk movie tradition!
