3.0 out of 5 stars And You'll Feel Like A Dummy, Too..., May 17 2004
This review is from: Weddings For Dummies (Paperback)
I will say that there is a lot of information in this book. I will even go further and say it wasn't the worst of the terrible bridal books I recently ordered.
HOWEVER-- aside from learning some very dry ettiquette rules and such this book has little to offer. Sometimes it is written in a painfully pretentious manner.
Also-- if you want to keep your wedding on a budget don't bother with this book if you're looking to it for valid advice.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS is the one!, May 17 2004
This book is packed with useful information! They really know what they are talking about, and also give you direct links to places that can save you money.
I can not reccommend this book strongly enough. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on any of the other books and only got this book. The book is a life saver.

I suppose the book is straight forward, and such.
It has a clean "style" to it-- probably because it contains NO useful information inside.
I only bought this book because I am really impressed with theknot.com, so I assumed they'd have a fabulous book too. WRONG. Skip this book.

This book is pretty much everything your friends and family suggested to you when you spoke of having a small budget for your wedding.
The author herself seems a lovely person, but frankly, some of the advice is insultingly simple minded.
The best book to but is "Bridal Bargains".

5.0 out of 5 stars Get THIS book, and ONLY this book, May 17 2004
I wasted too much money buying books with vapid or just plain insultingly stupid advice "Why not throw a picnic instead of hiring a caterer!!" etc.
Bridal Bargains is the ONLY book with tons of real advice. This book has links to online bridal shops that can save you tons of money, and loads of realistic advice.
This is the only book you need for researching bridal bargains. PERIOD.
