A movie that takes strands of Yellow Submarine,Magical Mystery Tour and the entire Sgt Pepper album sounds like a good movie and this is just what this one is.
There's even the idea of the Pepper sleeve via the walkthrough at the end-which includes 2 uncredited Beatles among nearly 100 names who did nothing but walk in a line.
Any movie using Beatles music has to be regarded as worthwhile and this goes hand in hand with the continuation of the Beatles legend and influence.

5.0 out of 5 stars JUST THE FACTS, Nov. 27 2005
First published in 1982 this CD sized book is quite an indispensable item as it describes every single Beatles song in chronological order by album and shows a photo of each album sleeve.
No odd opinions,no errors, just the facts.
The ultimate pocket reference book

5.0 out of 5 stars Back again but not really, June 28 2004
Virginia's most famous album has been available from the 90s in Japan and was reissued on her own Rosebud imprint for America,Thus the CDs were available here on import but have long since dried up as Discoveries in Wiltshire only imported about 1000.
So this new reissue represnts the first time this item has had an official U K CD release.
However the realty is that Virginia is painfully aware that few will even notice and only the completist will want a copy.
As her No.1 fan I bought it twice, sealed and unsealed.
Some indication of Virginia's total Cultdom is right here.Hardly anyone adds a Customer Comment so the Worlds Best Kept Secret...literally as she did a disappearing act right after I issued the CD single of "Sanctus 2000" on my own ASTRA label.
This album, which hit the Indie Top 5 in 1983,went into a life of its own and shows Virginia as an instrumentalist rather than a singer. Here she more or less followed her own late father who had his own label and issued instrumental stuff.
The reissue has no newly discovered items from the vaults its just as it came but without the Bonus tracks they added in Japan.
It has though a brand new sleeve, the dried flowers replaced by Virginia as Alice In Wonderland.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT A NEW IDEA, April 30 2004
Literally 100s of country artistes have made Beatles songs and one of the best was Emmylou Harris' "Here there & everywhere" from the 70s.
Delbert McClinton played harmonica on Bruce Channel's "Hey baby",a singer who co starred with the Beatles at New Brighton in 1962.Supposedly an influence on the Beatles own first single to include a harmonica.
In the mid 60s the first country musicians to do Beatles Music were the Charles River Bluegrass Band and Chet Atkins ("Picks On The Beatles") so its not a new idea.Even Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr did country music in Nashville

5.0 out of 5 stars MORE EXOTIC BEATLES, April 30 2004
This review is from: In My Life (Audio CD)
I collect Beatles covers and obviously with so many having done them you sort out the wheat from the chaff. So far I've managed to avoid the Godawful version of Hey Jude by Wilson Pickett but nothing on this CD is quite that bad.
Its surprising really that George Martin didn't locate artistes he'd worked with at the time of the Beatles, such as Gerry Marsden,Mary Hopkin,Cilla Black or any really who the Beatles wrote a song for.It would have been interesting to hear a reunited Peter & Gordon
And here is a type of Beatles tribute not done much since Peter Sellers and thats Spoken Word.
I would say this is a better collection than Sgt Pepper Knew My Father yet most of it belongs to the Exotic Beatles series.
Incidentally Goldie Hawn once made an album of Country Music

5.0 out of 5 stars BEATLES IN CLASSICS, April 30 2004
This is the title of a CD I have by the 12 Cellists Of The Berlin Philharmonic.Obviously the same one with a different sleeve.
Yet anyone who claims to know anything about the Beatles knows that "Lennon/McCartney" was agreed on at the beginning whoever wrote the song

5.0 out of 5 stars A WELL ESTABLISHED TRADITION, April 30 2004
This review is from: Beatles Go Baroque (Audio CD)
The Beatles had hardly been going for 5 minutes before the Liverpool chamber group led by Fritz Speigl decided to put out a Baroque piece called "Eine Kleine Beatlesmusik" plus another called "The Beatlecracker Suite" and this was before the Americans had a go via Joshua Rifkins's "Baroque Beatles Book" on the Nonesuch label (which included the "Last Night I said..." Canata.
Fact is if you plough through the Goldberg Variations of Bach you will discover one that plays the first 6 notes of "She loves you" in exactly the same rhythm!!!
