With all the recipes available online it doesn't make sense to purchase a recipe book...unless it's this one! The format used, the 'challenge' of a 'revolution' are novel ideas well presented but that's only the beginning; the recipes are unique yet EASY and taste GREAT! This is a recipe book even beginning cooks will enjoy!

The book arrived promptly in perfect condition. It's a great story, told through letters, about the occupation of Guernsey. Moving. A great easy read.

I bought this for our cottage...to put into one of those wall cases for calendars, as part of the decor. The pictures and quotes are perfect; I only wish it was a little wider, to fit the case.

This book has a lot of helpful advice in addition to interesting recipes...a little intimidating but learning a whole new way of eating/cooking will take time.

Hugo is a beautifully photographed video with a great storyline: an orphaned boy living inside the walls of a train station, taking care of the station's large clock and trying to keep clear of the station guard. It's different...I think it appeals most to children aged 6-10.
