A writing book that motivated while teaching! I really loved this book. In addition to a roadmap for turning out great writing, it gave me new insight into many of my writing problems. A lot of times I struggle with how "good" my writing is--after reading this book, I realized how *valuable* that feeling is in helping myself tell my best stories. That alone made this a great tool. Compared to other writing books, I found Immediate Fiction very straight-forward--it made "concepts" I had previously struggled with clear to me. His methods for getting writing as soon as you sit down and for getting the most out of my limited writing time are invaluable day-to-day tools. Loved it and highly recommend it.
