Castle Perilous, Dec 21 2002
Bar None, this has always been my favorite book. The only problem I had with it is that my original copy had a great picture on it and was just incredible with the details, this version while it has all of the original....has a boring cover picture.

Knitting without tears, Dec 21 2002
will give you a headache if you are an experienced knitter. very few pictures and the ones that do exist are not of good quality. It does have great technical information but for the new knitter, there is not enough meat on the bone.

Something Good by Michael Martchenko, Dec 21 2002
this book is funny and witty and my kids just loved it. it captured the torture kids go thru in the grocery store with their parents....esspecially when the parents are frustrated. One gets separated from dad becuz he fussed...and she did EXACTLY what he said. THEN the fun ensues with what happens after that. My children are teen age now and we still love this book.

curl talk, Sep 17 2002
boring basics...nothing new. if you don't know the basics-then this book will be of help. personally, I was a bit disappointed. I mean we are talking about a book written by Ouidad--she could have done MUCH better. okay I know its a conflict-of-interest to mention her own product line, and no one is expecting her to tout the competion but at the very least she could have said: for product information-write me at'address'. there is no contact address. like I said-could have been better.

Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey, Sep 17 2002
The words 'no shampoo' is what first caught my attention. I had been looking for an alternative method of cleansing my hair and scalp for years. I'm a thyroid patient - shampoo make me itch all over and my doctor had me using a facial cleanser in it's place...that gets expensive. In curly girl...there's a whole system there that doesn't use chemicals. People may assume becuz it says no shampoo that it means dirty hair--this is not the case, it's just a different method of cleaning the hair. Just as I CAN'T use shampoo, my sweethart WON'T use shampoo...he says "what's wrong with using soap?" eww. Thanks to this book, I have a safe, natural, inexpensive way to care for my corkscrew curls. She did drop the ball on 1 part...page 62, 2nd paragraph - she asked some 'experts' on black hair to give advice...and this so called expert on natural hair care tells you to get a texturizer. I don't do chemicals...I crossed out that paragraph. If you follow this program for 2 months you will find that you dont need chemicals anyway.

the complete idiots guide to football 2nd edition, Sep 15 2002
if you know NOTHING about football from lack of interest or comprehesion, and the love-of-your-life knows EVERYTHING about football from the time he could speak...this book is a great help. you come away from this book knowing more than a little SOMETHING, and it becomes an excellent referrence guide. don't let your love see it until you are done...this is such a great read...you may not get it back for a while if you allow it to leave your hands. there's no boring, classroom type format-just clear fun info.
