A good book for the beginner., Feb 14 2002
This book is a good book for the beginning woodworker, or someone who wants to make a few frames for their photos. It offers step by step instruction for building standard mitred frames, cutting mats and glass, and construction techniques. If you want to simply make some traditional frames this book will definitely help you out. On the down side the book hasn't been updated since 1958 and as such it's woefully out of date. It uses and describes all hand tools, some of which are not even available any longer. There is no information about the benefits of a power mitre saw, radial arm saw, or any other power tool which would greatly help in making frames. Additionally I was hoping that the book would outline some non traditional frames, such as mortice and tenon jointed frames. It did not, only standard mitred frames. Overall I would recommend this book for someone totally unfamiliar with frame making. But if you have a basic understanding of woodworking and understand mitre cuts then this isn't the book for you.

An excellent compilation of tales., Feb 14 2002
This is a great book for any parent. It encompasses 19 of the best known fairy tales that have been told to children for generations. Included in the book are tales such as Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and The Princess and the Pea. Each story is illustrated nicely giving your children the images they want to accompany the store. Overall I found this to be a well made book that can be passed down from one generation to the next.

A must have DVD for the 'ryche fan!, Feb 11 2002
This is an incredible DVD and one that every Queensryche fan must have. Those of you familiar with Queensryche know that they are one of the greatest bands to come out of the 90's. Their alternative rock style combined with Geoff Tates amazing vocals is simply superb. This dvd is from their Operation Mindcrime album, one of the greatest concept albums of all times. In the class of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" this album tells a story throughout. The DVD brings this to life with excellent 5.1 surround and spectacular digital sounds.

One of the worst books I've ever read., Feb 11 2002
Without a doubt this is one of the worst books that I've ever read. The writing is poor, the plot weak. As I read this book I found myself continually trying to figure out where this particular paragraph fits into the story. It's as if the author didn't know how to tie thoughts together so he didn't even try. I see from another review that the two main characters were from previous books, and perhaps reading those would have helped with some background on them. But even so I find it hard to believe that knowing their background would have made the book any more enjoyable. Many times I set the book down thinking I would just throw it away, but I'm very persistant and kept reading thinking that the book HAD to get better. Unfortunately it didn't. The book ended and I was left trying to figure out what happened. In the end I got nothing out of this book but lost time.

An excellent book for the young reader., Jan 28 2002
Join the net force explorers in their latest adventure when something is amuck at the local fencing studio. This series of books is aimed at the younger reader and as such tend to be easy books to read. Even so they keep you coming back for more and it's hard to put them down once you start. This was a good paced book, easy to read, yet captivating at the same time. This one is worth the money, buy it today you won't be disappointed.

The BEST series on television today!, Dec 5 2001
Without a doubt this is the best drama on television today. HBO has done it again with the second season! The Soprano's is a show about the life and times of Tony Soprano, head of a New Jersey mob family. However this isn't your typical mob story. The show takes you into the lives of the Sopranos and shows that they are human like everyone else. You see the marital issues of Tony and Carmella. You witness the problems of being a mob boss and raising two kids. The interaction between Carmella, Tony, Dr. Melfi (Tony's Pyschiatrist) and the rest of the crew is wonderful. Buy this DVD set today, you won't be disappointed!

A good travel guide, Dec 5 2001
This is a typical travel guide from Frommer. It details much of the Miami and Keys area listing hotels, restuarants, entertainment and much more. The listings are detailed and accurate and provide abundant information on each of the cities/keys listed in the book. If you are heading south this year, this is the book you want to have with you.
