4.0 out of 5 stars Essentially Live, Sept. 7 2001
This review is from: Live from Mars (Audio CD)
Ben Harper falls into his own category in music. His concerts are unbelievable! I had the fortune of attending four concerts so far! 'Live In Mars' is a great intro album into Ben Harper. I would say that this would be a great cd to play at get togethers and in the car! For the serious Ben Harper fan, I would buy the Japanese Import first. I feel that the "power of the gospel' song is much more powerful on that cd! Songs, I would have liked to see on this album are 'Homeless Child' and 'Superstition' Also, the 'All Along the Watchtower', ben and david leach performed with Dave Mathews Band was classic!... Buy this album and you won't be disappointed but you might want to buy his studio albums first. I hear Ben is working on a gospel album next, I just hope that the his bass player Juan Nelson is on it, truly the best bass player ever to hear live!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Practical Field Guide for Studying the Wild, Jan. 21 1999
This book, the latest in tom brown series, focuses on the study of the track. Specifically, the "pressure releases" contained therein. This book is a must field guide for you trackers out there, and a must for scientists everywhere. Many of the same patterns discussed in tracking, follow the same science as when a meteorite slams into the earth, or the geological processes of erosion. Tracks, of course are tiny versions of these. Having said this, the book is more a field guide than previous Tom Brown, and for those that are more interested in philosphy or accounts of Tom Browns youth, well you should read the other TB books first! All and all, a very sharp and defined book full of tons of facts!
Probably best tracking book on the planet

5.0 out of 5 stars Seventh Generation-A Circle Complete, Through The Past, Jan. 15 1999
This is by far the best Tom Brown book, ever written.....For those of you whom have not read Tom Brown's books! Pick this one up, and here is why!! People seem to reaching out and trying soo hard to get a grasp of the spiritual wisdom of the past, this is their answer!! This book is your answer, through remarkable, true accounts of an Apache elder......Tom Brown brings you to the brink of the end of an era of spirituality of the ancients. Through the looking glass that will someday rivert back on such wisdom for freedom. Don't read this book because it is greatly written book, but read it because you can feel the ancient breath on fingertips...
