5.0 out of 5 stars TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE, Dec 10 2002
TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE is a horror anthology that contains three gruesome stories that are bookended by a wraparound story."The Wraparound Story" is about a little boy who tells scary stories to a modern day cannibal in order to save some time before she cooks the little boy for a dinner party. "Lot 249" is about a college student who brings an ancient mummy back to life in order to seek revenge against the people who have done him wrong. "Cat From Hell" is about a rich man who hires a hitman to kill a cat that he believes has come to kill him. "Lover's Vow" is about a man who witnesses an act of murder committed by a demonic creature and is given the chance to live if he promises never to speak about what he saw. All these stories contain plenty of gore, humor, and scares to keep you on the edge of your seat! Plus, you have a great cast of actors in the movie!

3.0 out of 5 stars BLOOD DOLLS, March 8 2002
This review is from: Blood Doll 5 [Import] (DVD)
Full Moon Pictures brings you a film that has a deadly assassin who wears facepaint like a clown, a midget, an all-girl rock and roll band in a cage, a sexy dominatrix, a man who wears a mask to hide his shrunken head, and three killer's BLOOD DOLLS! This twisted movie tells the story of Virgil Travis, a multi-millionaire who has created three little dolls that have deadly features (The Pimp, Miss Fortune, and Sideshow) to kill anyone who gets in the way of his plans for wealth and power. BLOOD DOLLS has serious "midnight movie" potential written all over it, and any horror fan should pick this one up today. The DVD edition comes with a behind-the-scenes featurette, a documentary on the making of the film, a music video, a theatrical trailer, and a blooper reel.

5.0 out of 5 stars COMMANDO, Feb. 13 2002
In COMMANDO, Arnold Schwarzenegger plays ex-military colonel John Matrix, who is spending time raising his only daughter. But when a group of renegade military terrorists kidnap his daughter, Matrix must arm himself for battle and he only has eleven hours to find his little girl before she is killed. There's plenty of action, humor, violence, and some great one-liners from Arnold. Action fans must check this movie out now!

4.0 out of 5 stars PHANTOMS, Feb. 9 2002
This review is from: Phantoms (Widescreen) (DVD)
PHANTOMS is a science-fiction, horror thriller based on the novel by Dean Koontz. The residents of a small Colorado town have mysteriously vanished, and only a few survivors remain. It seems that an evil force known as "The Ancient Enemy" has come up from deep in the earth, and it has the ability to take on the shape of whatever it kills. It's up to the small group of survivors to try to find a way to keep "The Ancient Enemy" from wiping mankind off the face of the earth. This is a good, decent, horror movie!

5.0 out of 5 stars FRIGHT NIGHT, Feb. 9 2002
FRIGHT NIGHT is a halarious horror movie about a teenager named Charlie Brewster, who discovers that his new next-door neighbor is a bloodsucking vampire. In order to stop the vampire from drinking the blood of everyone in town, Charlie enlists the help of Peter Vincent, an actor who has played a vampire killer in many horror films. This is, without a doubt, one of the best horror movies out there!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE FRIGHTENERS, Feb. 6 2002
THE FRIGHTENERS is a wild, well-made, horror comedy that has alot of good special effects. In the small town of Fairwater, healthy people are dying from 'heart attacks,' but they are actually being murdered by an evil spirit known as The Grim Reaper. The only person in town who could possibly stop The Reaper is Frank Bannister, a psychic investigator who has the ability to see dead spirits. THE FRIGHTENERS is a good movie but it's also very underrated and not that many people have seen it, so I suggest you go out and pick it up now!

5.0 out of 5 stars TOTAL RECALL, Jan. 26 2002
TOTAL RECALL is a big-budget, ultraviolent, science-fiction/action movie. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Doug Quaid, a happily married construction worker who is constantly dreaming about Mars. Suddenly, Doug is confronted with the realization that his memory was probably erased and that he is actually a secret agent from Mars. Now, a group of Mars Intelligence agents are out to kill Doug, including his own wife, and the only people who can help him are a mysterious woman named Melina and an army of rebellious mutants. The movie manages to keep you guessing whether these things are actually happening to Quaid, or if he is having an elaborate Mars-influenced dream? At the end of the film you are not sure if it's all a dream or reality?

The film is about a family that moves into the town of Ludlow in Maine, and they find out about the local Pet Sematary and the Indian burial ground beside it. 5.0 out of 5 stars PET SEMATARY 2, Dec 27 2001
PET SEMATARY 2 is the sequel to Stephen King's original PET SEMATARY. Jeff Matthews moves to the town of Ludlow with his father after his Hollywood star mother is accidentally killed while making a horror movie. Jeff makes friends with a local boy named Drew who has a dog named Zowie and a mean stepfather named Gus, who also happens to be the sheriff in Ludlow. When Gus shoots Drew's dog, Drew takes Jeff with him to bury the dog in the Indian burial ground that's next to the local Pet Sematary. When the dog comes back from the dead, Jeff begins to wonder if he should bury his mother in the burial ground. This is a decent, well-acted sequel.
