Another great installment, Nov 12 2012
Thus far, I have enjoyed each book in this series and Fourth Grave doesn't disappoint. Charley is having trouble bouncing back after being tortured by Earl Walker but there's only so much shopping a girl can do on the Home Shopping Channel before real life comes calling, or in Charley's case, meddling family and well-meaning friends. Still on the outs with Reyes, hunted by demons and investigating a new case, Charley has her hands her full. Fourth Grave is a fun-filled romp. Can't wait for the next book!

A darn good read, May 4 2012
I was shocked by how much I enjoyed this novel. The story follows Celia West, the non-super powered daughter of two superheros. The author had a the perfect mix of humour, drama and action. The writing clipped along at a good pace but what really made it great was the growth and interactions of the various characters. Each character had his or her own story which the author wrapped up neatly in the end. I quite enjoyed After the Golden Age and hope the author will consider a sequel!

Good thing its cheap...., Feb 8 2012
This cable is not compatible with anything Apple. It gives sound only - no video. A complete waste of money - good thing it was so inexpensive.

Prepare to be entertained., Aug 19 2011
This has to be one of the best si-fi/fantasy films I've seen this year. The acting was excellent and the action sequences incredible. If you're looking for a movie to entertain you, look no further, as Priest delivers.

Living the life you didn't choose, Jun 12 2011
What if, for every major decision you make, an alterante reality ocurrs? What if you had the opportunity to move between lives, living the life you didn't choose? This is exactly what happens to Quinn - happy mother and wife living in the suburbs but also the childless wife of a famous radio talkshow host. As Quinn becomes obsessed with her other life the question becomes who she wants to be and which life she ultimately wants to live. The Other Life is a well-crafted story with compelling characters. It begs the question - what would you do when confronted with the opportunity to live the life you didn't choose?

A Disnery Gem, May 29 2011
The Watcher in the Woods is one of my all-time favorite movies to watch at Halloween (with Disney's Child of Glass coming in at a close second). This movie manages to be scary without all the blood and violence, making it perfect for family viewing. The story clips along at a good pace and the acting is very good. Even without all the modern special effects, the film manages to draw the viewer into the mystery of exactly who is the Watcher in the Woods?

Great thrillers, May 23 2011
I was hesitant to watch this series but I'm glad that I did. The Red Riding Trilogy is an edge of your seat trilogy spanning from 1974 - 1983. The trilogy is based on the Red Riding Quartet novels by David Peace and follows the corruption of the Yorkshire police department. What makes this trilogy so interesting is the incorporation of true events from this time period such as the Yorkshire Ripper kllings. The acting is excellent and the story lines complex. While the first movie 1974 is a bit slow, it lays the groundwork for the next two films, culminating in an explosive ending in the final installment - 1983.

A Fantastic Read, July 4 2010
This is, by far, one of the best books I've read in a long time. This novel is a fast paced, page-turner that I couldn't put down. The story is full of twists and turns; just when I thought I had the story figured out, the ending proved me wrong. Matt Ruff has crafted a story more entertaining than a barrel of monkeys.

A wonderful second novel, May 14 2010
Everwild is a great follow up to the first book in the Skinjacker series, Everlost. Everlost is a limbo for children who, for one reason or another, do not go "into the light." Dubbed Afterlights, these lost children exist without knowledge of their previous lives and identities. In the second novel, Everlost is at war. Two sides battle it out for the souls of Everlost. One side fights to set the children free while the other fights to keep their souls trapped forever. With characters like the Sky Witch, the Chocolate Ogre and Allie the Outcast, the novel is full of rich and varied personalities that each have their own storyline. The action flows easily and the subplots are numerous. If you enjoy smartly written books, then I highly recommend this novel. I eagerly look forward to the next book.

A Hauntingly Beautiful Story, Jan 17 2010
After reading "Before I Wake," I absolutely had to pick up this novella by Robert Wiersema. "The World More Full of Weeping" follows the disappearance of Brian, an eleven year old boy who spends his time exploring the woods behind his home. Brian has always felt apart from the rest world until he meets Carly, a girl who seems to understand him as no one else can. As Brian becomes increasingly preoccupied with the forest and Carly, he begins to travel down the same path as his father years before. As the story unfolds, the parallels between father and son become more apparent, guiding the reader to the climax of the story. Ultimately, the "World More of Full of Weeping" is about alienation and finding where one belongs. If you enjoyed "Before I Wake" I would strongly recommend this novella. The characters are rich and complex and the writing flows easily between Brian and Jeff's point of view.
