Should be required reading, April 18 2004
There are some books that should never be resigned to the dustbin and this is one of them. The message is timeless and, despite the humor, frightening. Ms. Ellerbee's wisdom is needed more today than it was back in 1988.

A wonderful script and story, Nov 5 2003
I would give it five stars if not for my bias against Melanie Griffith. Her constant throat-clearing and baby voice drives me to distraction. Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver and Joan Cusack are fantastic, however, and Carly Simon's "Let the River Run" deserved the Oscar.

The Subverting of Democracy, Oct 25 2003
Thank you Mr. Conason and Mr. Lyons for writing this book. There is no way the people who gave this book one-star even bothered to pick it up, much less read it. The authors source extremely well and name names. A little too much fact perhaps? We will never know how much damage the Clinton-haters perpetrated but we will living with the consequences for decades.

A Sweet, Engaging Fantasy, Oct 6 2003
This is a very entertaining film and I enjoy it every tieme I see it. Of course none of this would ever happen in the body politic of the 1990's or today. The wonderful speech at the end would be laughed at and derided by the pundits on CNN and Fox and Rush Limbaugh would be playing it over and over with bathroom sound-effects. Knowing that makes it bittersweet and maddening at the same time.

I left the theatre in tears, Aug 8 2003
The people that call this "lies" do not live the same reality the rest of us do in 2003. If we are to heal this country, we'd better listen to the people in this film.

I Fear the Future, July 27 2003
The author (obviously a House Manager-In-Training) needs to grow up and think for himself. Hopefully REAL life experience, a healthy dose of reality and much-needed maturity will knock him down a few notches.

A Surprisingly Good Effort, Jun 20 2003
I bought this to support the anti-landmine cause and was pleasantly surprised. Heather writes in-your-face lyrics (spoken-not sung) and Paul does great work with backing vocals, guitar and arrangements. If this had gotten more publicity I think it would have done quite well. Excellent job for a great cause.

Memories, Jun 20 2003
When I think of this album I'm transported back to freshman year of high school in 1970 and having it playing in the background while doing homework, or harmonizing with my friends at slumber parties. I loved it then and I love it now. "Maybe I'm Amazed" is a classic and "Junk" is one of my all-time favorites.

A strong Lady, May 3 2003
The nay-sayers notwithstanding, I was very inspired by Ms. Mills' story. I am very pleased that she has found her soulmate and wish them the best. People who have had misfortune in their lives should read this book.

Grace Under Pressure, Feb 16 2003
I listened to this album last night after getting a new turntable. I adore the Beatles version of "Words of Love", and have always though "Baby's In Black" was an underrated gem. Hearing those voices again made me happy and sad at the same time. Knowing how quickly this was "patched" together, and how tired and frazzled they were at the time, it is an amazing achievement.
