1.0 out of 5 stars Won't buy from Amazon again, Jan 18 2011
This purchase was a disaster from the start. I combined this purchase with another purchase so that shipping would be free otherwise the cost of the book would have been ridiculous (30% higher). Amazon then unilaterally cancelled my other purchase because they didn't have any more of the product and then charged me shipping for this book because the cost of the book wasn't enough to get free shipping. Next when the book arrived the book and packaging were soaking wet like it had been sitting in water. The book packaging had NO protection from water like a simple plastic wrap. Yes I returned it and eventually got my money back but stuff like this doesn't happen if you just buy from a store & stores don't charge shipping. I did page through the book so see if it had any specs page showing the detailed evolution of the Stumpjumper (after all its a book all about Stumpjumpers so I assumed it would be the one place to have a spreadsheet at least showing the models evolution like I have seen for Ritchey's). No such luck, nothing of the sort. I didn't read the book (no time since I had to return it) but I was extremely disappointed at the lack of technical info that could easily been added as an appendix. Another point on why not to buy on Amazon is that at a bookstore I could have paged through it at the store and saw its deficiencies before buying it, put it back on the shelf and not have wasted all my time getting permission to return it, repackaging it, going to the post office and waiting through a half hour line (it was Xmas), paying for it on my Visa anyway and waiting for a refund on my next statement, etc. Bottom line, NEVER again. From now on I shop at the store. Final note: I bet Amazon doesn't post this review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great like the rest!, Jan 7 2010
The unique formula that makes this show special continues with this final season of the series. I have enjoyed every one. It also provides a cultural snapshot of what life was like here in the early 70's. "Hey man... you know what I mean."

5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource!!!!, July 21 2009
This review is from: Atlas of the World (Hardcover)
Dollar for dollar it is the best atlas out there in my opinion. Why pay four times the price for the Times atlas. Personally I prefer the map plates of this atlas because the topography is much more visually distinct. You can clearly distinguish the mountains from the plains better than any other atlas. It doesn't have the same number of place names as the Times atlas or the plate size. Nor does it have the road detail that the MacMillan atlas had (the MacMillan Book of the World is now out of print). But for most peoples needs this the best deal available anywhere for a top quality reference atlas.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great Bond flick..., April 14 2009
The main disappointment was that it seemed shorter than most Bond films. I miss the days of the long Bond films like Diamonds Are Forever. Also it didn't have any truly amazing action scenes like the opening chase scene in Casino Royale or the opening ski scene in the Spy Who Loved Me. Only a few films hold that kind of treasure so it is forgivable and the opening car chase was pretty cool. The musical theme was not a hit like so many other Bond films such as Live and Let Die. But inspite of these shortcomings it was still a great Bond film with its fair share of beautiful woman and world adventure.
