Why, oh WHY have the Backstreet Boys returned?!
I want them to know that they are not welcome back to the music industry. They can crawl back into the hole where they've been hiding all these years and stay there.
I'm not just saying this because I'm a guy and hate BSB, I'm saying this because their music is really terrible. I ask that if you have any interest in keeping good music coming you should boycott this album and buy some of the GOOD albums that have come out this year. Coldplay, The White Stripes, Moby and Beck have some great new stuff. Check them out. I insist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Come on! It's Spider-Man!, Mar 19 2005
I am seriously surprised to see some of the negative reviews on here. I can't understand it.
I liked Tobey Maguire a lot more in this one than I did the first movie. He just seemed better for the role. I don't even know exactly why. He just looked, and acted the role so much better. I guess it's that it's his second go at it and doesn't need to get into the character anymore.
Kirsten Dunst, again, was awesome. I liked the hair colour more in this one. It looked realistic, like a red head should look. It fit her much better. I guess they could always say that her hair was dyed in the first movie. That would make sense to me.
Alfred Molina was a welcome addition to the cast. I felt he did the part of Doctor Octopus justice. I believe it's always hard to play a character that people already know. The character has a good 40 years of background and I feel that Molina played it to perfection. He stayed true to the character and gave it his own flare.
And it was great to see Jameson with a bigger role this time. I think that J.K. Simmons is an amazing actor and got to play with his hilarious character more.
The special effects were pretty awesome. I'm not usually one to praise a movie for it's special effects, but really, it was spotless. And it wasn't overused. Sam Raimi wanted to make sure that when it was possible to use animatronics for Ock's arms, he would. I can understand some of the action sequences needing computer animation to pull it off. How else would they do that battle on the train?!
Some people I found complained greatly about the lack of action and the copious amounts of romance. I didn't feel that was the case. Being someone who follows the comics, I found it to be true to the Spider-Man stories. It was showing that Peter was having a tough time, and it could only be emphasized by showing his relationships with his family and friends. If this wasn't to happen, we would be stuck with a film starring a protagonist that no one really cares about that much. I, for one, will not stand for that.
Besides, how is he supposed to fight when he doesn't have his powers for half the movie?
The action that was present was just amazing and surpassed the first movie in every way. Seriously, the visuals of Doc Ock and Spidey duking it out can't be beat! It just can't!
My only big complaint was the whole idea that Doc Ock's arms were alive. They squeaked at him and stuff. That's just a little too cheesy for my liking. The arm's designs were awesome, but I think it would just have been better to have him go crazy from the accident like in the comics. I'm sure they could make it work.
All in all, a terrific film. I can't wait to see the next one because I know there will be a next one.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is Newsboys?!, Dec 10 2004
It's a real shame. I've loved every album Newsboys had come out with before this one (that I had heard) but when I heard they were making a worship album I was skeptical.
My mom bought me the CD so I thought I'd give it a fair llistening. Needless to say it was ok worship music but not a good Newsboys CD. "He Reigns" is a pretty good song and so is "Take These Hands" but I can't sit down and listen to this whole album without getting really tired or bored.
Even worse, two of the tracks are just live versions of the two worst songs on "Thrive". So half the lyrics in here they didn't write and two whole songs aren't even new songs. Not a lot of work was put into this album at all.
Where did the Newboys that gave Christian music a good name go?! I want to hear more stuff like "Take Me To Your Leader" and "Step Up To The Microphone"!
I really think it deserves 1.5 but that isn't an option and it doesn't get a 2!

1.0 out of 5 stars This just isn't very good., Aug 21 2004

Ok, I tried to be nice but she deserves this. This album bites. She released all the songs that are half decent and left all the crappy remainders for those who were suckered into buying this trash.
AND under NO circumstances should you repeat same songs in the album. What she could have done is put "Una Noche Mas" on one of the singles or something but she just forces you to listen to more of her music.
This album is a mix between boring and downright painful to listen to. This is why downloading MP3s has become so popular. Because you could download "Waiting for Tonight" and "Feelin' So Good" then leave the rest on the shelf of the store and save your time and money.
The highlight of this album was the pictures inside the sleeve.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not even a good bad movie..., Aug 5 2004
This review is from: House of Dead [Import] (DVD)
To be honest there isn't much there to talk about.
The characters were flat, the effects were cheese and theres even a scene where you can see the spring board that a zombie jumps off of. And did anyone see the plot? I sure didn't. Even the gore is wrong. I mean, blood isn't pink last time I checked. This movie is only worth watching if you're with a group of your friends making fun of it. DO NOT spend money on this film.

I don't have to say much but I heard this CD and I knew that it had to be mine or my collection would not be complete. I love Rob Dougan's original sound. I've honestly never heard anything like this before.

This album is golden.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Sad Recreation, April 22 2004
Overall, this movie was not impressive. The characters seemed to be too stereotypical for my tastes, with the eccentric inventor, the hapless but cute girls, and the clutsy but well-meaning guy.
Gone is the mystery of the Doctor and Susan's origins. Gone is the darkness of the script. I know, I know, the original series was a bit lame, but that's because of the budget. The script by itself was suspenseful. This recreation had none of that.
In fact, the only thing I find likable about this was the TARDIS' interior. It was an interesting change.
