I've read the book -- It's great!, Jan 23 2013
I read the book by the Franciscan Friars of the same title. The book is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Anybody who's just simply hungry for God in their lives will enjoy this. Padre Pio is certainly a marvel of the 20th century and a genuine man of God. He give great insight in all the truths of the Faith. God bless!

This is a good DVD - with lots of good insight, Nov 18 2012
You know that a good percentage of the world out there is - unfortunately - strongly biased against Catholicism: so much so that this DaVinci baloney has become very popular in Canada and the US. In fact I would say that if Canada was once a Judeo-Christian nation, it has become now largely anti-Catholic & anti-Semetic in some instances. So why should it surprise you that Brown's book was such a hit? Anyway, for those who have to deal with the lies perpetuated by so-called 'scholars' -- this DVD is a must! The book is even better. But this is a good film to show other friends and family about the key arguments that any sane Christian could easily articulate. Fr. Mitch is a deeply spiritual and holy priest. He knows his stuff!! So I would say - like St. Peter says - "Make sure you have a reason for what you believe in - for anybody who might ask."[paraphrased] So what are you waiting for - it's cheap as far as DVDs go and it gives you all the ammo you need to shoot down Dan Brown's nonsense. Personally, I like Charlie Brown / James Brown {I FEEEEL GOOD!} & I even like brownies! -- but I'm not to happy with that other Brown-kinda-guy.

This film is exceptional and I would recommend it, Oct 28 2012
Peter O'Toole was excellent in this film, but the overall acting and story were most enjoyable. We watched it last night and it is inspiring to see the lives of some of these Mexican martyrs. It really hits home here in Canada where the general culture has become militantly anti-Catholic and unfortunately the schools, once Catholic have become totally secular. Canadians seem more disposed toward Social government - while the Conservative government is "Conservative" only by name. It makes me wonder what will happen to religious freedom north of the border - as these Big Brother hate crimes tribunals seek to silence religious freedom for the government's doublespeak. This film is worth watching and I think every family should see it.

A well done project, Oct 18 2012
Unlike the NRSV(New Revised Silly Version) -- for the politically correct: the RSV is an officially recognized and approved version of the Bible to be enjoyed and studied by all Catholic Christians. They got it right because the type is very readable. I bought my wife, Shehan, a leather bound Bible(NAB) a long time ago, but I didn't realize that her vision was so poor and the type so small. This version has nice *LARGE* type - which makes for good reading in many Church environments where the lighting may not be so good. The four versions I would really recommend are the NAB / RSV / *Jerusalem & the Douey Rheims. *The "New Jerusalem" seems to suffer from politically correct drivel too: so I wouldn't recommend that either. But the Jerusalem Bible is OK! Anyway - this Bible is reasonably priced and hardcover. Not a bad deal.

This is a must have biorgraphy for those who love Saints, July 10 2012
I had a copy of this - and my friend Irene asked for it when I was only half-way done reading it. The gent who wrote this book is called Venerable - which means this padre is on his way to becoming a Saint too. He was Gemma's spiritual director and confessor. Gemma is a very amazing woman - very beautiful too. Her whole life and attitude were always united with Jesus. She spared no pain to be close to her Savior. Any book written by a priest proclaimed 'Venerable' about a real saint - is well worth reading. How much more the stunning life of St. Gemma!

Very interesting exploration of the matter of 'spirits', Jun 11 2012
Michael Brown is a good author - but perhaps sometimes a little too sensational. I enjoyed this book - as the stories are fantastic. Read it with a critical mind and make up your own mind on the matter.

Not a bad little CD and book set, Jun 11 2012
For what you pay - this set of 2 CDs has a lot of good stuff I can see you might use if you were parachuted into Portugal.

Coren Got it RIGHT ON!, May 3 2012
This book is excellent - as it argues a rational case for what we Catholics believe in and debunks a lot of the nonsense that has been leveled against the Church. I have had the privilege of meeting Mr. Coren at a Marian day last year and I can say he is every bit conceited as he comes across on the radio!! But seriously, he is a good man and my dad - the professor loves to read his column. He is not one of the 'politically' correct talk show people who just wags his tongue to please public opinion. For that - I know he's suffered much. Anyway - this IS the BOOK for all of us who have had all this hatred spewed against us by the crowd - who know less about the Catholic religion than they do about Jesus Christ. It seems like the media at large, especially in Canada - has been trying to demonize all Catholics because we don't applaud abortion, sodomy, pornography and that that other stuff that gives them - God forbid - rather nasty consciences! Anyway - this is good material. It's wonderfully logical and comes in rather handy when a relative at the Christmas dinner decides to tell everyone about what's wrong with the Catholic Church. READ IT!

4 CDs of good education, April 22 2012
You get 4 CDs of good and cheerful learning here. It's kind of fun to learn a new language and I never thought I'd be able to learn such an exotic language as Mandarin. The only thing I think it is really challenging because it's unlike any other language(especially European ones). I've listened to these disks over and over again.. and each time I pick up just a little more. You have to be quite patient with yourself to learn this ancient language. They are great for a long trip where you're driving for a long time and want to learn something new!

See the depth and beauty of Mother Angelica's prayer, April 22 2012
The prayers of Mother Angelica are just amazing. I really like to listen to them. The give us a glance into the interior life of this wonderful woman of God. I am a lay Carmelite and I can honestly recommend these CDs to listen to -- though I think you might want the book too -- just to read the prayers and make some your own. I love Mother Angelica: cause she doesn't applaud the fowl and demented political correctness of our foul generation, but also because she is deeply sensitive to the common man's troubles. If your driving along - and maybe feeling a little lonely or going thru some dark times: pickup a copy of these CDs and I'm sure they will pick you up.
