3.0 out of 5 stars Too Technical...not for a beginner!, Aug. 3 2008
This book is not for the beginner. I will say that it would be "good" for a more intermediate to advanced CSS user. This book is not as intuitive as some of the other books in it's class, such as Eric Meyers "CSS Web Design".

CSS Web Site Design Hands on Training
CSS Web Site Design Hands on Training

4.0 out of 5 stars Repetitive but good..., Aug. 3 2008
This book has a lot of exercises which are repeated over and over through the book. This book guides you through making a site based on a fictional "tea company". The site tha you will get to create is fundamentally well designed, and pleasing to create. It has good clear explanations and teaches CSS to W3C standards.

Eric Meyers is always on the cutting edge of CSS and this book is a great book for those who understand the basics and want to get more in depth with CSS techniques.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear and easy to understand, Aug. 3 2008
This book is broken down into step-by-step instructions which "lead" the user through to the creation of a website. It is simple site that you learn to create, but it is great to get your feet wet in HTML, CSS, and proper coding techniques.

It helped me learn the fundamentals required to tackle more daunting techniques.

It gave me a good foundation to lead into more advanced CSS and XHTML learning. Great beginners book!

Cheers!
