Down to earth, easy to understand guide to managing money, this should be in every high school math class!, March 8 2011
A sad reality of the modern day is that many young people tend to spend as much if not more than they presently make with little thought to the future. When I was in high school financial literacy was given such a passing glance it effectively was not covered at all.
This book is a very concise and well written guide on how to set yourself up for the long run to be financially sustainable, touching topics such as the power of compounding, expense fees on mutual funds and how to plan a basic budget etc.
The concepts are well illustrated, and the style of writing is very down to earth and easy to understand. A great gift idea for new grads / someone who has started working part time and wants to start on the right track.
