5.0 out of 5 stars IF YOU CAN STILL FIND A COPY, GET IT!!!, Jan 31 2013
This review is from: Alpha Protocol (Video Game)
Not an awesome third-person shooter (simply quite good), but rather a splendid "spy" RPG. Sounds cool? IT IS, IN FACT, VERY MUCH SO. And all of your choices matter down the road, so that the engaging story evolves according to them. Well, keep this in mind and you'll truly enjoy this gem! As for reported bugs, occasional freezes, or unpolished graphics, nowhere near as bad as some people (pro reviewers) would Iet you believe - and certainly not worth worrying about for that little $15... All things considered, one of my fav PS3 games so far (2007-2013 era).

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the two best Field Guides among all..., Mar 7 2010
Bryan Peterson's Understanding Photography Field Guide is a MUST if, like me, you enjoy (even on the go...) reading anectodes explaining ways by which a given professional photographer tackles various challenges regarding aperture / shutter speed / composition choices. It combines most of its previous masterpieces in one without compromising anything in picture or text qualities. Equally amazing for its wealth of information within a dense yet clear format, don't forget to take a serious look at Daniel Lezano's wonderful Photography Bible (New Edition)!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Concise Gem!, Mar 7 2010
This review is from: Photography Bible (Paperback)
I love this book, for each time I open it at any page (really ANY page) I end up learning something in spite of its concise nature; a major quality! And that is also its weakest point, as far as I am concerned : it is a bit short on lenght, or should I say depth in the very intimate sense that Bryan Peterson has gotten us used to since its strong debut with Understanding Exposure. I like reading stories explaining ways by which a given professional photographer tackles various challenges regarding aperture / shutter speed / composition choices, but here one never feels that sort of close relationship with the writer. On the other hand, as a reference book or field guide, the book as a whole is amazingly dense as everything remains clearly explained with great simple tips, informative tabs, catchy graphics, and beautiful sample shots about several relevant topics in each chapter (CAMERAS IN THE 21ST CENTURY, HOW CAMERAS WORK, IMAGE CAPTURE, SYSTEM ACCESSORIES, IMAGE MANIPULATION, BASIS TECHNIQUES, EQUIPMENT TECHNIQUES, SUBJECT TECHNIQUES, AFTER THE PHOTO, HISTORIC MOMENTS IN PHOTOGRAPHY, GLOSSARY)!

3.0 out of 5 stars Awful Edition of an Awesome Series, Jan 21 2009

5.0 out of 5 stars Nights Into Dreams easily becomes a Journey of Dreams!!!, Feb 19 2008

A great game for the Wii; similarly simple and enjoyable, yet not as innovative as its predecessor for the Saturn. NOT so sure then if it will stand the test of time, or quickly go down as another under-appreciated masterpiece from Sega. If you were a NiGHTS fan back in the days, get this! Some reviews from newcomers have been giving this game a bad rep, lack of violence helping, but as a NiGHTS fan I can assure you that this game is excellent and well worth the $20. A bit kiddy.. but NOT FOR KIDDOES!
