A Different View, July 31 2012
I, Putin, is a story that I would normally never consider reading. This story surprised me. The author was able to humanize all the players in this historical account. You were compelled to identify with the struggles that Putin was dealing with and came away with a new understanding of his actions. This book gave me a new perspective on an international incident.

Life has contrasts, May 2 2012
This story is told from an old man reminiscing. The author allows you to share the emotions and feelings of the man at two different ends of his life. I was swept up by the excitement of his early life and saddened by what he had become. The story had me glued to it from start to finish.

The Reign of Silence, April 19 2012
Reign of Silence is a wonderful read. With a pastor in the southern United States as the main character, it starts out with everyday life incidents and turns into a highly suspenseful, addictive tale. There were places in this story that were terrifying. The descriptions and storytelling was very well done.

Blood Ocean, April 10 2012
Blood Ocean is a story set in a dark time for humanity. The world has changed as we know it and yet many of the characteristics remain the same. This is the story of a young man's need to live up to his father's reputation and right the wrongs that he sees around him. The story captured me from the beginning.

The details of Murder, Mar 26 2012
Murder on music row The story began with a lot of details and superfluous facts about the music industry. The actual event happened well into the book. Even as the story unfolded it was packed with unnecessary details. The basic story was good but seemed to be hindered by the clutter of detail.

The Edge, Mar 18 2012
The Edge (Bodyguard #1) by Cindy Gerard; before I even began to read this book I had preconceived expectations on what the plot would be like for a book with this title. Many of my expectations came true but Cindy has the ability to capture your imagination and fast past action made me unable to put it down. I truly enjoyed the book with her subtle references to the different classes in our modern society.

Dark Corners, Mar 3 2012
Dark Corners by Liz Schulte captured you in with the feelings and emotions of the heroine. She was able to make you uncomfortable, frustrated and terrified through the course of this novel. My first novel by Liz Schulte, but certainly not my last.

Don't Tell, Mar 3 2012
The beginning of this story was one that I did not engage me. The story of the abuse of women is not one that I would select as an escape. Karen Rose can tell a story. Her combining of the love story with the build up of suspence of the situation capitivated me.
