This is an excellent book for the aspiring canvasworker. Covers everything from the basics of tools and materials to step by step directions for projects of all sorts. You can save a fortune by doing canvas work for yourself, and this is a great way to get started.

This is a great basic guide to the systems on your boat. It gets a bit technical in some areas, but tries to cover a little too much ground to be overly technical. I think that every boat owner should have a copy of this aboard, even if they never plan on doing any sort of work on their own electrical systems themselves, there is a lot of info here.

This is a great guide for the beginning canvas worker, has a lot of great general information as well as step-by-step directions for a number of projects for both exterior and interior use on boats. Highly reccomended!

This is a great and detailed guide to the classic land route, covers the area and the trip in outstanding detail, but at the same time does not try to force you to stay on a certain itenerary. Highly reccomended.

One of the better canvas making guides out there. I have already made several projects from the book, They are well laid out and easy to follow. A must own for the DIY canvas people...

This is about the best general reference out there on the subject of GMDSS. The only drawback to the text is that it is SOMEWHAT dated, but that is because it is a text on electronics, and became dated on it's way to the printers. Still, if you need info on GMDSS, this is where to go. It is currently used as a textbook for the GMDSS course at Great Lakes Maritime academy.
