A Must See!, Jun 11 2012
This movie shows the poignant struggle of a man attempting to balance his family life with his reason for living. It's beautifully told, exhibiting all the main character's faults and weaknesses, making him easily relatable but also showing us what greatness we can accomplish if we just happen to care enough. Support the cause and buy this DVD. It is one you will cherish forever!

Gabaldon does it again!, Dec 12 2011
In this spin-off of Gabaldon's more popular Outlander tales, we get to learn more about Lord John's complexities and nature, into which Gabaldon has given us a richly woven tale of intrigue and deception. A must read for any fan of Diana Gabaldon's work!

Only 2 more seasons!, Dec 12 2011
It is easy to see why this series lasted as long as it did as an episodic crime drama. The characters are lovable, the stories unique in their plots as well as setting them against the beautiful and stunning backdrop of Hawaii. These videos are a favourite in my collection on which I routinely and repeatedly draw on when current television doesn't offer me anything enticing.

Diana Gabaldon is a genius!, Dec 12 2011
Her writing and characters are so multi-dimensional, you can literally feel yourself in the room experiencing their lives and conversations! Gabaldon is a master at creating mood through description as well as conversation. This book really does well to tide a person over in between her last Outlander novel, Echo in the Bone, and her next one, Written in My Own Heart's Blood.

A quick but unfulfilling read, Dec 12 2011
Good work for a first-time outing by the author, but I would not recommend to anyone and have already sent it onward for donation to Goodwill.

Noah Boyd does it again!, Dec 12 2011
Noah Boyd didn't disappoint with his follow-up to The Bricklayer. His character, Steve Vail, and supporting characters are much more deep and rich as a result of this second tome and leave you wanting and anxiously waiting for Boyd's third instalment.

"82 as usual!|, Oct 17 2011
It's no mystery to understand how this series kept it up for 12 years - between stunning scenery, gifted writers, storytelling and acting, this series keeps on delivering! I can't wait for the final season even though I'm not finished watching the 11th season! Aloha!

OK but not great, Mar 23 2011
The inside flap describes this book as intended for learners of Gaelic from beginners to university students, yet as a beginner, I found it only partially helpful. While it gives clear definitions and translations, it gives no indication as to pronunciation, which would be an essential element in ANY dictionary. I would recommend this dictionary to those who have already mastered the pronunciation and grammar surrounding Gaelic, so in that sense at least, I would NOT recommend it for beginners. However, it would probably be invaluable to a more intermediate student of Gaelic.

Collector's Item, Nov 15 2010
I saw this movie in 3D in the theatre and was BLOWN AWAY by the awesome cinematography and animation. Seeing it on a smaller screen at home, I found it just as enjoyable, if not more considering at home I have the option of replaying certain scenes, etc. The storyline is suitable for all ages. The dragons aren't so scary that small children can't relate to the story or the characters. Also, there's plenty of humour in the story to suit any age of viewer. As an adult, you simply find yourself lost in the entire spectacle which makes for a very enjoyable experience! I highly recommend this movie to anyone, even if they're not a fan of animation.

EXCELLENT ACTION AND STORY, Nov 6 2009
Saw this movie in the theatres and can only say I was very impressed not only by the cinematography but also how Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall presented such good renditions of their characters. This movie has similarities to Schwarzenegger's 'The Running Man' but trust me, it is FAR BETTER. The action is better, as well as the storyline and there is such a visual feast of every imagining! I will definitely be adding this movie to my DVD collection!
