Good read, Jan 25 2002
I found FAST WOMEN edgier than Crusie's previous books, but no less entertaining. It begins slowly with Nell trying to recover from a divorce she can't explain by drifting her way through life. With the help of friends she lands at a small detective agency and meets Gabe. Nell thinks she can 'manage' Gabe, but meets her match. The secondary characters are just as interesting as Nell and Gabe. And of course there's a dog for added enjoyment. Crusie is an intelligent, entertaining author.

Disappointing, Jan 25 2002
After reading ARCHANGEL, JOVAH'S ANGEL and THE ALLELUIA FILES I was very disappointed with WRAPT IN CRYSTAL. I found it predictable and the physical relationship gratuitous. This is not a Shinn book I would recommend.

A magical tale., Jan 20 2002
I am not a reader who reads all of Nora Roberts books, but the Three Sisters Island trilogy has caught me in its magic. HEAVEN AND EARTH is the second in the Three Sisters Island trilogy and lives up to the expectations set by the first book. Ripley Todd is a sheriffï¿s deputy. Sheï¿s smart, sexy and pulls no punches. The only thorn in her side is that sheï¿d like to deny her magical talents. Dr. MacAllister Brooke, with his degree in ï¿the study of crapolaï¿, arrives and wants only to help Ripley come to terms with her talents and a future with him. But before they can pursue the future they have to deal with the past.

Jayne's romantic suspense gets better and better, Jan 20 2002
Another great Krentz book. Jayne's mystery writing improves with each book. Thomas and Lenora remind me of Hepburn and Tracy characters from their old movies. The give and take of the dialogue is very enjoyable. Jayne does an excellent job of filling out all the characters. You know just how Alex Rhodes, Roberta Brinks, Deke Walker, Grandma Gloria and all the others look, talk and think. Have a good read.:-)

My favorite Crusie book, Dec 7 2001
Jennifer Crusie has a wonderful way with characters and dialogue. Sophie, Phin, Helen, Amy and the rest of the cast are hard to leave behind. The relationship that builds between Sophie and Phin is a pleasure to watch. You know exactly what the future holds when the story ends.

Beginning is good, middle is good . . . . . ., Dec 7 2001
Ms. Roberts does a great job providing detail of her characters. The idea for the story is good. The read is wonderful up to the end when the book suddently stops. It's like someone said okay you have to stop NOW. I truly liked Declan and Lena and would have liked to see the real end to the story.

Crusie, Crusie, Crusie, Oct 15 2001
Another Crusie great. Who would have thought adopting one poor, little, skinny dog would change Quinn's life? What a change it is. She goes from dating the "world's nicest guy" to dating her sister's ex husband. This book will have you laughing out loud. It is fun and witty.

How about 10 stars :-), Oct 15 2001
Cruise is great. Her stories are like listening to a friend at lunch. WELCOME TO TEMPTATION is one of her best. Temptation gets a wake up call when Sophie, Amy, and Davy Dempsey hit town. Phin, the mayor, knows he's in trouble when he meets Sophie, but he still goes down without a fight. From porn movies and local theater to water towers and pillars of society this is a great read. I haven't met a Crusie book I didn't like yet.

Not up to Ms. Asaro's usual standards., July 21 2001
I was somewhat disappointed in Ms. Asaro's "The Quantum Rose". I can't quite put my finger on it, but the story never really captured my attention as her previous novels have. I understood why, but I got very tired of the submissiveness of the heroine.

Anita Blake - No more nice girl, July 21 2001
BLOODY BONES was actually the first book by Ms. Hamilton that I read. It hooked me and I'm now impatiently waiting for the 10th Anita Blake book. In BLOODY BONES Anita faces her most powerful enemy to date, Serephina. Serephine wants to control Anita and nearly succeeds. Another great story from Ms. Hamilton.
