It's a very easy guideline for an 8 years old. Even I as an adult enjoyed drawing along with him. Definitely a good buy. The book is beautifully constructed, pages are thick so even a younger child wouldn't be able to tear it too easily. My son loves the colors and fell in love with the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's an okay product, Dec 28 2012

Well made but I was expecting much more than just 5-6 experiments. It doesn't seem to mention where to find the other experiments. The good is the few experiments included are quiet easy to follow for a child and ingredients needed are really every day house ware items.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scary reality, Aug. 30 2008
The naked truth. A Hard reality and a light to those living with HIV. Marvelyn Brown was a young girl living in Tennesse with a single mother pushing to be the best and her wanting to be loved, being treated like an adult. She meets prince charming at 19 who she thought was the one. He was the one alright, who didn't believe the doctors who told him that he was HIV positive. She passes out, in the hospital they see her fading away with a Pneumonia, they have no idea what was killing her, from test after test, one doctor decides to test her for HIV. They saw the HIV antibodies go from negative to positive over 24 hours. She had a choice, committing suicide, or live. The upcoming days she took her Obituary picture and chosed to live and being the voice for those who either don't want to or can't. She raised awareness, even her said all her life they warned her not to get pregnant not to trust men but never warned her about the worst of it all, HIV.

She brings us into her life from day one with her mom and father separating , to her mom not showing love even tho she loved her, til today. The way some people treated her, the way she could find love, the way her family supported her when she needed the most. I loved the book and i hated in the same time. Even tho she shows how hard and livable it is, it really showed me where i never wanna to be. I remember seeing her On Oprah and BET but she did a whole lot more. The best was when she went to Africa. A Lot i didn't know as well. It's an interesting read. I've learned some stuff like i thought two HIV positive people could live happily ever after but she thought me that If two people are infected they can Re infect each other and make it worst.

She bares it all for the world to lower the rate of HIV. A story of a strong and courageous woman at my age (24) who chosed to make a difference. We Never know what we have til we loose it. Some of us take our health for granted. Read the book there's a lot more then what i just said.

5.0 out of 5 stars The truth and Nothing But The Truth, Aug. 24 2008
Keep The Faith the memoir of the Bad boy's First lady also known as The Notorious B.I.G's Wife alias the one who many claimed had slept with her husband's nemesis, Tupac Shakur is today ready to open about herself, the truth and nothing but the truth.

After reading the book i have a new found respect for Faith. Not like i hated her before but she sheds lights on so many things. She like usual show how notorious the game could be and how lucky she was to have found some good people behind her. She also talks about the numerous bad decision she made like getting pregnant twice and aborting when she wasn't even 18 yet. Getting pregnant at 18 having her daughter Chyna, Then Met Biggie got pregnant again and miscarried. Got married only couple weeks after meeting biggie to then getting pregnant For Cj and him dying when the boy was only 3-4 months old. She also opened up to the numerous cosmetic surgery (she had lipo, Tummy Tuck and breast reduction). The tanning session that puff put her through cause she was too light.

She also shared her relationship history with Puff daddy, the real one no the bad heartless man the media today has been painting him to be. Biggie's Infidelity with so many different girls included Lil Kim. After all this read i can't listen nor view those two rappers the same way especially my favorite one Tupac. I know he was crazy and i knew he was pretty stupid with his decisions but wow. Definitely a good read for anyone who thinks they are strong enough to try and hit the music industry. Faith did it, 11 Years later we have now a very close look on how Biggie was, A sweet loving man who was taken away too early. There is so much more but it would take so long for ya'll to read. Just grab the book and enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Didn't Disappointed me at all, June 16 2008
This review is from: The Climax (Paperback)
This one is a sequel of Insatiable By Allison Hobbs. She find an amazing way to bring back everyone realistically. I grow to Hate Kai even more. This whole book felt like i was watching a movie. She like usual delivered a perfect descriptions of the sex with kai and multiple partner. I did at one point felt let down, with all the guys Kai had sex i would have delivered an extra punch like an aids or some type of std scare. But besides that it was good. She didn't drag the stories too much like she usually does, was pretty much straight forward which was a surprise cause usually she tends to let her readers anguish. This one can pretty much stand on it's on if you didn't read Insatiable you can still go straight to climax she explains it all. Suspense, action and a sex slave. I also loved how she didn't picture the "thugish" man like they usually do strong and ain't scared of nothing. That was a plus.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Woman's Worst Nightmare, Feb. 28 2008
Kathlyn Kincaid is happy married to a sexy and newly signed artist, Justin. She's been giving everything to her man, loaning money to the bank to get him the right car and the right outfit so the record labels could consider him. She even wrote some of the songs for him. He's a big time singer now, his song that his wife wrote is a big hit in the radio. Everything's perfect, Wife who cooks, clean devotes to him, good sex but it wasn't enough. he had his 80% but wanted the extra 20% missing. He then met Nikki the good looking Latina. She got her whole body done when her ex husband beat her senseless. Sex is good, she makes him feel like king but she has a different agenda. The typical gold diger gets Justin whipped and to fall in love or so he thought. Katlyn has no idea what to do she loves him, she's hooked up, she thinks his cheating but isn't sure. She knew she could have followed him check his text but no she decided to ignore it fear of ending alone. Until one day the doctor tells her she pregnant what she's been wanting forever and trying but Justin didn't wanted. The Icing on the cake was when the Doctor told her she had Std. Justin friends realize but he gets deeper, he doesn't listen gets in even deeper and leaves his wife. But what he thought he had isn't as close as what he thoughts. She isn't what he thinks. Nikkie's Agenda is sordid, she won't stop to anything to get what she wants, more money. Kathlyn's friends been wanting love for ever she meets Terrel, Rich, Good looking, ex baseball player. Will Kathlyn survive the divorce? Will they get back together? They are all linked through one person that will endanger all of their lives.

The book was really tight. I have a feeling that a part of the story was taken from her life. She even quotes in her book that she took her failed marriage and used it to write her book. It took a while to pick up at the beginning. It even lost interest and left the book next to the bed for a good month before picking it back up. That was one downside. But when you get half way through you can't put it down, she describes each feeling amazingly. This book was a woman's nightmare a reality that a lot of us will go through or fear to go through. The end had a good twist my mouth just dropped. It shows me how stupid some of the women are and also Ladies keep your man clothes cause there's always a vulture around trying to get a byte at your steak. She also portrays how life is when you're an artist's wife. What you put yourself into. The Title isn't completely understandable. Like still up to know i'm like uh? But the image makes you understand perfectly what she meant. Marsha D. Jenkins-Sander is also a R&B song writer and her book is a must in your library it was worth every minutes spent on it.

3.0 out of 5 stars If You Read The First one Don't waste your time, Jan. 30 2008
Amina's still in jail, dreaming about Kayne and their life together. Getting married having kids. Everything even throws her into a mental institution. She's in for a 21 years stuck in jail but the cops who arrested her were actually dirty cops. which gave her the opportunity to get out of jail and start all over again. Everyone is now legit learned from their mistake. She's doing fine til working at that clothing store sees her old flame Kayne with some other woman called Marla. She goes crazy again she decides it's time for her to find out if Kayne really loves her or was he really playing her. She'll Go down and dirty from making Kayne jealous by sleeping with one of his boys, befriend his soon to be pregnant wife who isn't as clear as what she claims to be. They soon find out that it was those close to them who ratted them out and caused them to get send to jail and loose 3 years of each others life. A Set up nicely thought off that will make everyone pay for what they've done. Will Amina and Kayne finally end up together and live the life they always wanted?

The book was okay. The first Down Chic was a lot better. The set up was nicely put but ended up too quick and way to easy to figure it out. There wasn't enough suspense and everything ended up too nicely like a fairy tale. The whole love story even got me tired at one point i mean we did understand the both are deeply in love in the first one she could have skipped all of this love scene and concentrate on the set up. I also thought the way she got out of the jail was too easy not complex enough. This felt like a book for a 10 years old to read. Basically doing a sequel wasn't a good idea whatever she added in this one could have been in the previous one, just adding about an extra 100 and that would have been it. I'm really disappointed cause I've been waiting for months for the sequel cause it was back ordered. Even tho i was hooked on it cause mostly every time i thought something big was going to happen i was let down. I even found myself at some points flying over the text cause i wanted to get to the point and find out what's up expecting something to out of the ordinary and then bang it's over. Very Repetitive. I wouldn't really suggest getting this book not much more interesting. I was never a fairy tale kind of person so perhaps that is the reason of me not liking this book.I would also say that this one could stand on it's one like you don't really need to read the first one cause she basically sells everything that happened in the first one in this one which i was like ok what was the point of me reading the first one? Like at one point they thought they might have gotten aids from The Marla and i'm like wow suspense as soon as i turn the page that was it results in. Way to quick got to make the suspense live a little don't kill it so fast. She had a lot of Keys to drag the suspense but killed it way to fast.

Will he be able to forgive her or like any men find comfort in another woman's bed and at what cost? Love, Betrayal, Trust and Friendship: An intense and surprising reading.

The book was serious the author knew exactly how to keep our mind working while reading. Through the entire book i knew it was about cheating, a bit typical you would say but it wasn't, She knew exactly how to describe to make you mind wonder like is that really it? Omg no? Then she delivered the ultimate punch and i was like wow i was so wrong. Quite a lot of suspense. The feeling were amazingly described. Each step of what a family goes through when one has hidden skeleton in there closet. I felt sorry for Lesli at time and angry that she couldn't understand why they had a hard time to understand and even angrier at the husband who kept making her feel worst while he was dogging her. It also opened my eyes on why some trouble teen turn to child pornography or anything along the lines and what the family goes through. When u think u finally figured it out she delivers the final blow. wow intense reading. what really attract me to the book was the cover nicely and peacefully design and a title like the great betrayal definitely spiked my curiosity. Don't get fooled by the Peaceful looking cover you're in for a roller coaster ride. A real love, heartbroken story of a woman that not many people could understand. I cant talk to much about it without selling the book but put this one in the must read!

Eris the drop dead gorgeous goddess of discord, every man she touches, she will bewitched and steal your life away from you. She was banned and sent to Earth As a slave, so she could amend and get her position back. But to her she can't stop at this, her a Goddess can't be a slave so She slowly poison the plantation master's wife to get to her money, jewelry and power. Having plan of waiting for the wife's death and marry him. A sequence of events ended her reign and go her to get whipped and burned alive. She goes to the ream and from there builds a master plan to go back to earth, 200 years later to seek revenge to those who have betrayed her, Arthur Stovall who reincarnated into Bryce Stovall. She will go to the extreme to visiting the man in dream, explicitly sexing him and emptying him of his juice to revive herself. To even attack Ajali, Bryce's future wife. Ajali will fight for her man with the help of the goddess of destruction Kali. Will She prevail and save her soon to be husband's and every men and women on hearth? A tale of Forbidden love, Ruthless battle between good and evil.

I enjoyed the book. Took me a while to get into it since it wasn't exactly what I've expected but once you get into it you even wish you could be a part of it. It did scare a bit the way she thoroughly describe each rotten part of the goddess and how she burned. It felt like i was watching a movie. I love how she just briefly explained the love Ajali and Bryce shared, didn't just spend chapters of chapters on it and really insisting on how much revenge Eris wanted and even to when she had most of what she needed her greediness might have brought her demise. I also love how the book ended you do wonder, will there be a second part? When i first read the synopsis i was more expecting a book about a girl in love sexing everything she comes across nothing like what I've read. I also felt like she did a lot of research and used most of true legends to write this book. I mean she juggled from Hindu goddess to Greek goddess and put the all together, mix with the slavery time to our time. She also touches the whole meditation, to some people who say they left their body and were in spirit. I also believe some of those thing are true perhaps not as described but some women believed they are goddess and will stop at nothing to destroy a stable relationship. It's a Book very well described from what she looked when she got burned, how she had sex with other demons to even how she sex a normal human being only as spirit. You don't need a T.V to imagine all of events, she describes it so perfectly that you could draw it yourself. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a bit of suspense mixed with god and his sentinels.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mary J Blige did it again!, Dec 7 2007
This review is from: Growing Pains (Audio CD)
The Queen of R&B is back with her 9th Album. This time with a different kind of records. Mary J Blige has been known to express her entire feelings on records which were most of the time very sad especially her bad experience with ex K-CI now she's singing how happy she is, the love she has and how her Husband Kendu Isaacs help her fight her demons.

The album is tight not like i was expecting anything less from Mary J Blige. She has 2 featuring with Ludacris and Usher. I didn't like the Ludacris song it sounded chaotic to me. The usher one was tight it sounded like the two were fighting with their vocal cords, to express each other's feelings to get it to sink through. She has some track also that brings you back to her roots, the time of her 411 album like Til The Morning. One of my favorite track was the what love is, i love the way she explains Steps by steps what love is, "it feels like joy, it feels like pain, it feels like sunshine, it feels like rain, an excuse for dying, reason to live and if you don't know that's what love is". I really fell in love with this one. My Second Favorite one was If You Love Me, I like the way she's asking her questions and she's answering them back like there was a second person on the record. The last favorite one reminds me one of those ending song from a movies and you expect to see two people running towards each other once and for all in love. Isn't that a perfect way to closure an album?

I can't say it is one of the best of Mary J Blige's album, cause i've loved them all equally but it's nice to see Mary J Blige finally in peace with herself and most of it all happy! Kudos Miss Mary J blige!
