5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Irish albums out there, Dec 7 2003
This review is from: Live Alive Oh! (Audio CD)
I got this two years ago and I still play it regularly. Everything about this album is great, from the sound quality to the songs themselves. While no song is bad, some you're likely to skip after awhile, such as 'Some Say the Divil is Dead.'And even though 'Paddy's Dream' is a humorous and well written piece of poetry, it's not something you'll want to listen to everytime through. The song selection is very nice and of course the Wolfe Tones themselves are incredible. If you're new to the Wolfe Tones or Irish music in general, I strongly suggest this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dude, Where's My Bomber?, Dec 7 2003
It's on every list of the greatest comedy movies. Even though it was made back when movies were still limited to two colors, three if you count grey, it's humor is still...humorous. People today think it's cool when Mike Meyers does multiple characters, but he's nothing compared to Mr. Seller's. Despite a sort of slow start, you soon come to realize why this made it on so many lists. If only because of the great ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Grail., Dec 7 2003
Thank God, for Life of Brian. Holy Grail has been ruined through years of people endlessly quoting it, thankfully a majority of people, at least from what I've seen, haven't seen Brian. Beside having one of the greatest ending of any movie or book, Brian also offers a very funny look a religion. The only problem with this movie, may be that it's too short. But what's there is genius.

Some people might see it as offensive or blasphemous, but it's not. Brian is not Christ, their are similiarities, but that's it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was expectig, but still great, July 10 2003
When I got the book I was expecting anecdotes from Chuck about his experiances in Portland. While these were present, and hilarious, the book is mostly about various spots in Portland. In the beginning it drags a bit when discussing restaurants and the like, but towards the end it picks up tremendously. A good short read, you can finish it in half a day, and worth the time and money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cement Shoes not included, Jun 21 2001
This review is from: Mafia! (VHS Tape)
This is a stupid movie, but it's a wonderful, laugh out loud stupid movie, the good kind of stupid. You know like when you drop a brownie in sweet and sour sauce and notice it's not so bad, that kind of stupid. Mafia! is a spoof of so many movies, the most notable are Casino and The Godfather I and II. You can also find Forrest Gump, The Lost World, River Dance, and Scarface. It tells the story of the Cortino family, Don Cortino, who grew up in Salmonella, Anthony Cortino, who kills a man and has ends up in Vegas running a casino, and Joey Cortino who...uh...is a drug addict and "helps" Anthony with the casino. It has many other characters. A few things I don't like are things that other movies also do, farts and projectile vomiting. Mafia! is one of the few movies I smile after, maybe I just watch to many depressing movies, I don't know, but it's good for a lot of laughs.

3.0 out of 5 stars I want to cry, cry like a little girl., Nov 19 2000

This movie...is like a plane crashing into a train wreck with orphans, nuns, the elderly, and several priceless artifacts on both. The crew of the SOL try to brighten it up, but it's like combining the Grinch, Hitler, and Charlie Manson into one and telling it to 'Let goodness into your heart.' Stay away, stay far, far away. The only thing that can make this movie worse is Ernest Borgnine and Joe Don Baker!
