5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal Value; Work Great, April 8 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After spending months looking around and not really sure if these would work, I finally took the plunge and bought this model. I am not sure how this would work with LCD/Plasma Televisions (I don't see why it wouldn't,) however on my older CRT televisions it works amazingly well, and am extremely surprised how well it works watching videos from the internet.

The instructions for setting up initially isn't the best, however I was able to figure it out eventually. Once it's setup, there is no need to reset anything unless you were switching televisions. It comes with everything you'll need cable wise (VGA, RCA, and S-Video) which is fantastic value for dollars. The only thing you will need would be a video output cable to send to your TV which is inexpensive.

Best electronic purchase I've made in some time and use it almost daily as I stream my TV shows and hockey games when I have time to watch them.

2.0 out of 5 stars A bit hyped, Feb 25 2012
After winning Canada Reads 2012, I decided to read this book. When I looked at the top five chosen by Canadians, this was my second choice to read as I have an interest in foreign political matters. After completing this book, I felt un-satisfied. I was continually thinking that the "good parts" would eventually come. Unfortunately, it never did. I admit that this might have to do more with my expectations of what the book was supposed to be instead of what it was. I guess I was looking for more of what was taking place during the time period (i.e. the adult conversations that her book talked several times about in secret although revealed little details, and what was happening all those years besides smuggling goods across borders.) Instead, this was more of a "girl-to-woman" account that was primarily sitting on the sidelines of history and the effect it had on her mental being. It's not that her story isn't compelling; I just felt like I never really understood why this is supposed to be such an essential story for all of Canada to read. Unfortunately, this book is a bit hyped and I am really surprised of how well it did in the competition.
