FINALLY , a live Triumph live CD that cuts the Canadian mustard for amazing sound!!!

Yes , it is short on songs but read this incredible short set list of TRIUMPH / live!!!
When you actually hear how the whole thing sounds on 4 speaker / extended stereo [or by any other means] you might say

" wow , wow and more WOW " ???

This is the best CD version of HIGH CLASS , ever.
The keyboards are fuller , cleaner and clearer. Every instrument is in perfect
balance.
The HIGH CLASS / CD , is slightly louder than the ordinal CD but NOT too much louder. Rock Candy Records , did an excellent job remastering ALL of the first 3 Max Webster / CDs including the , MUTINY UP MY SLEEVE / CD.
In the MUTINY UP MY SLEEVE / CD booklet , Kim Mitchell , said that when the ordinal album came out he was so disappointed that , MUTINY " had no low end at all ".

The MUTINY UP MY SLEEVE remaster fixes that. It sounds like the CD was mastered in , 2013 & so does the , MAX WEBSTER / CD and this CD!!!

All of these remastered CDs come with a 16 page book let of new pictures , interviews and the history of the band.

I have owned almost every book on the Grey Cup that is out there. This is the most beautiful and detailed Grey Cup book that I have ever seen and read.
It is also the largest book about the Grey Cup that I have ever seen.
In this case , you CAN judge a book by it's cover. The cover of this book in real life is just so stunning!!!
To be fair to the other Grey Cup books , this book has the advantage of being up-dated to [and includes] the 99th Grey Cup. The breath taking pictures in this hard cover book [23.8 x 1.8 x 28.6 cm] are worth the price of this book alone. There are many large [full page & double page] pictures that I have never seen before in both colour and in black and white. You also see some funny pictures of dressed up CFL fans , GREY CUP programs & GREY CUP tickets , ect...
What makes this particular book also so impressive is the detail of the GREY CUP stats and awards , ect. It has many a stats pages dedicated to things like , LAST-MINUTE GREY CUP HEROES and a stats page on many GREY CUP HIGH LIGHTS with the key moments in the games explained on an easy to read chart , ect...
If you think that you have read and seen everything about the Grey Cup , think again.
Every CFL team's GREY CUP history is covered including the early college years and the Canadian Football Championships BEFORE the first GREY CUP in , 1909 , in great detail. They also have the Grey Cup histories of OTTAWA & BALTIMORE. This book also explains why American football stars came to play in , Canada.
The reading is easy , sometimes very funny , sometimes sad but always very inspiring. There is also NO CFL bashing in this book.

If you read the clock that is on the cover of this album it reads 21 : 12 , in military time.
If you listen to this new fantastic RUSH album you will be amazed that after 38 years and 19 studio albums before this one RUSH , can still produce another classic masterpiece.
You may have heard the songs CARAVAN , BU2B and the recent amazing HEAD LONG FLIGHT. That is just the tip of this beautiful sounding ice burg.
Other excellent stand outs are , THE ANARCHIST [just as great as , TOM SAWYER] , CARNIES , HALO EFFECT , THE WRECKERS and climaxing with WISH THEM WELL and the best ballad that RUSH has ever written called , THE GARDEN.
Almost in their 60s RUSH's playing ability still hasn't lost a step. ALEX's traditional solos are back , some keyboards are back and there is even some piano and some strings.
This album is their version of Pink Floyd's THE WALL but it is much heavier and much more hopeful. There is a full story in the lyrics and even a book coming out about that story.
As with most great progressive music it will take more than 1 listen to get it. It will take about 5 full listens but you will be greatly rewarded.
Quite honestly this is the best RUSH album in more than a decade. OLD RUSH FANS should love this album as well as NEW RUSH fans.
It is different than their last couple of albums but isn't that the point.? You don't want the same album over and over again.
If you loved the albums FLY BY NIGHT , 2112 , HEMISPHERES , MOVING PICTURES and SNAKES & ARROWS you should just love this album.
Every song is connected by music and every song is killer.
Yes , STEAM PUNK ROCKS in both 2112 and in 2012.

The packaging for SCHOOL'S OUT , even comes with a CD size pair of woman's panties , a small report card and you can make the Japanese mini album into a small desk.
Forget about the way , way too quiet MFSL Gold Discs and RHINO versions.

This CD is louder / cleaner and clearer than any other version for regular CD. I usually listen to this CD in 4 speaker extended stereo for the full QUAD like impact.

There are no better sounding ALICE COOPER regular CDs out there.

You can also get some of ALICE COOPER'S solo albums like , WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE and GOES TO HELL , ect... all remastered in , 2011.

As I have already written before in my reviews of RUSH / SECTORs 1 & 2 , the SECTOR 3 box set regular CDs sound just fantastic!!!
As many of the other reviewers and I have already written , NO regular RUSH / CDs have ever sounded this excellent.
All of these CDs are finally NOT muddy sounding and the keyboards are in perfect balance with everything else.
The keyboards do not over whelm the other instruments. As with the 2 other Sectors , these CDs are louder / much cleaner and much clearer than the 1997 remasters.
You can hear every note and sound effect.
I would say that SIGNALS and POWER WINDOWS have the best sonic improvement but they all sound excellent.
If you are a RUSH fan and / or know a RUSH fan , you can't go wrong with all 3 of these box sets.
However , if you are still unsure , buying 1 box set with 5 beautifully remastered CDs [1 CD , a live album] + 1 audio DVD [Signals] + 1 long booklet for about $50 CDN , is the best way to go. You will not be disappointed. This is NOT just another record company rip-off.

I am a huge RUSH fan. I have been disappointed by the way RUSH remasters have sounded before.
I have owned the vinyl , the 1997 remasters , the MOFI remasters , the Japanese SHM-CDs and now ALL of these 3 SECTOR box sets.
I have listened to ALL of the 2011 RUSH remasters on my full stereo. 4 speaker , extended stereo is the best way to hear these remasters. However , 2 speakers are just fine. I listened to all of of these remasters on my full stereo...
...NOT through MP3s on my computer.
NOT by listening to what some web site may have told me.
NOT through some one else agenda fulled soft ware on my computer.
I am very , very HAPPY to write now that these RUSH / SECTOR remastered regular CDs are the BEST sounding RUSH remasters that they have ever released!!!
This is NOT just another record company rip-off. I will never have to buy these regular RUSH / CDs , again.
Imagine if , STEVE WILSON , of the band Porcupine Tree [sound engineer for the 40th Anniversary of TULL's / AQUALUNG and some , King Crimson] remixed and remastered , RUSH?
Also , imagine if , JAMES GUTHRIE [the 2011 PINK FLOYD , remasters] also remastered RUSH , a long with the people who remastered , The BEATLES , remasters?

What would those RUSH 2011 Sector remasters , sound like???

The regular 2011 / RUSH CDs were remastered for stereo by sound engineer , ANDY VanDETTE , at Masterdisc , New York.
Just another great sound engineer who believes that you can make louder and fantastic sounding remasters with out compression over load.
These RUSH remasters are a little louder / much cleaner and much clearer sounding than the 1997 remasters. By far!!!
Like with STEVE WILSON's 40th Ann. of AQUALUNG , Alex's guitars jump out of your speakers. NEIL's and JOHN's drumming are crystal clear. Geddy's voice , bass and keyboards are in perfect balance with everything else. NO harsh or muddy sounding CDs , any more.
Also , what really makes these RUSH remasters sooooooo great is that you now can clearly hear all of the talking parts and their special sound effects with out having to lean in towards your speakers or by having to turn up your speakers to massive ear splitting volumes.
This comes in very handy when listening to , Fly By Night [By-Tor] , Caress Of Steel [The Necromancer] , 2112 , A Farewell To Kings [Xanadu / Cygnus X-1] , HEMISPHERES , SIGNALS [Countdown / Subdivisions] ect...
What is also very impressive is how excellent the keyboards and synths sound in albums like , POWER WINDOWS , SIGNALS , HOLD YOUR FIRE and GRACE UNDER PRESSURE , ect...
No more muddy sounding CDs. Just perfect balance.
These regular CDs are louder but NOT any thing as loud as their , VAPOR TRAILS / CD. NO clipping here. These are not so called "loudness war" victims.
Don't listen to any of the SH , nay sayers. Find out how excellent these remasters sound for yourself.
The 5.1 audio DVDs are also worth every penny. The remastered LIVE album CDs also sound soooo fantastic it is like YOU where there.
These CDs are in the bigger size JAPANESE card board mini albums. Some are in a double album format , just like the ordinal albums.
Each SECTOR box set contains a long booklet with ALL of the lyrics , all of the album art and pictures.
If you want to hear RUSH at it's very best , 5 newly remastered CDs , 1 DVD + 1 booklet for each SECTOR box set all for about $50 dollars each , then get 1 of these box sets and then go from there. You will not be disappointed.

After many years of too quiet sounding versions of this album , AQUALUNG , finally gets the sound it deserves.
YES , it is louder / cleaner and clearer than anything that had came before it. BY FAR.
Proving , once again , that you can make a great sounding louder CD with out compression over load.
This remasters sound engineer , STEVE WILSON [from the band , Porcupine Tree] seems to get what the people who made the PINK FLOYD [James Guthrie] , BEATLES , GENESIS remasters seem to get. Make it LOUDER but not too much louder.
The new stereo re-mix is just stunning.
The result is the best sounding version of the regular CD for AQUALUNG , ever!!!

After many re-issues with no improvement in sound PINK FLOYD's / ANIMALS finally sounds excellent.
James Guthrie and Co. , did a fantastic job remastering 1 of PINK FLOYD's best albums.
They DID turn up the volume on this 2011 remaster and it is louder [but not too loud] than the 1992 and Japanese versions. It is even better than the OH BY THE WAY versions which were mostly a collection of older remasters.
What you hear on this 2011 remaster is more bass , more drums and a lot more clarity from each instrument. Very crisp at the high ends.
These are not the STEVE HOFFMAN kind of too quiet CDs nor are they as loud as LED ZEPPELIN : MOTHERSHIP CDs. They are the perfect balance between those two. No over compression. Just warm and joyful. I wish that JAMES GUTHRIE would remaster even more older CDs for other bands too.
I could apply this same review to the single CDs , The Dark Side Of The Moon , Wish You Were Here , Meddle , The Wall and A Momentary Lapse Of Reason , as well.
AMLoR , was not only remastered but it was re-mixed as well. If you loved The BEATLES remasters volume and sound , you will just love thses CDs.
Other reviewers at Amazon.ca have written just how great the PINK FLOYD : DISCOVERY box set is and going by the sound of these 6 CDs those reviewers are right on!
I know that many others and I will never have to buy these regular PINK FLOYD CDs again. They are that excellent!

RUSH...have released a great retrospective of their best songs AND their best videos from , 1989 to 2008. This 2 DISC treat has fantastic sound and an excellent BONUS VIDEO of...RUSH...playing the song TOM SAWYER , on the ...COLBERT REPORT. The interview is also a hoot. Read all of the set lists and you will see that some of the songs that are not on the CD , are on the video DVD , so you get more bang for your buck. Not only that , you get re-mixes of the songs...ONE LITTLE VICTORY...and...EARTHSHINE!!! Their sound is awesome , now.
