I don't think it's fair to write a review for a cookbook without first trying out some of the recipes. I've made the Slow Roasted Tomatoes, yummy but time consuming, the Vegetarian Chili, really flat tasting so I added some of my on spices to it and LaLo's Famous Cookies, not bad but I think I should have had more jam in them and underbaked them slightly. These cookies get extra points because they are vegan.
I liked that the book had different types of recipes and offered up ways to make certain recipes vegetarian/vegan. I liked the various stories in the book and to be fair I don't feel liked I've tried enough recipes to recommend it but if you're a fan of Gwyneth then you will enjoy her stories and certainly give the recipes a try for yourself.
Let's get one thing straight. This is a textbook not a cookbook.
I purchased this book so that I could better understand all that's involved in professional baking and this book delivers on that front. It covers everything you would ever need to know about ingredients, formulas, products, presentation, etc.
If you're looking to increase your baking knowledge then this is an excellent resource tool for you. If you're looking for recipes this isn't the book for you.
I bought this book because I was interested in doing a natural cleanse and found so much more information then I even imagined. I followed the directions for the 21-day adventure cleanse and have never felt (or looked) better.
This book is chocked full of useful information regarding nutrition even if you are not looking to rid yourself of toxins.
And on top of it all Kris Carr's story of holding back her cancer through diet is fasinating!
...you'll love this book. Not only are the images beautifully photographed but the story of building a company during the 1800's and maintaining success to the current date is fasinating! This book is a must have for any fan of Tiffany jewelry!!!
