surprisingly fresh despite the penquins, April 27 2008
The mockumentary style was very clever in a year of penguin movies, and set it apart. The Underdog story is always a winner, and the ego-maniacs who get their come-uppence deserve it, not in a completely predictable way. The animation was outstanding.
The performances by the young actor and Jeff Bridges too are very entertaining, and I have purchased the movie, after barely being interested in watching it initially.
I don't understand the 1/5 stars, except that we all have our bad days.

Really silly to believe that a 21 yr old student can outwit and outmatch international terrorists, homeland security forces, CIA, and various mercenaries just because she is cute and fiesty. This is really old character writing and not very clever, the only interesting part for me was the Egyptian/Roman archeologic tie in.
