That book has nothing to do with what you expect from the title !! :( Read the books by the original sages instead !!

This is a great compilation.... unhappily the canadian edition have less songs that the USA version. Here,s the 4 missing songs :

Disc 1 : One Too Many Mornings (Johnny Cash featuring The Avett Brothers)
Disc 2 : Outlaw Blues (Queens Of The Stone Age)
Disc 3 : With God On Our Side (K'NAAN) and Don't Think Twice, It's All Right (Kronos Quartet).

I like a lot Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland and own their solo albums. Maybe I had too much expectations for that new album, a collaboration. So, even if it is a good album, I must say I feel desappointed. First, it is just a 24 min. EP (that may explain the low price) and secondly they give us new recordings of two of their songs : 'Passenger 24' and 'Broken'. There is three original songs and they are very good (I do not count 'Eulogy for Whiskers 1-2' as a song). Finally, 'I'm On Fire', a cover of a Bruce Springsteen song is excellent. This is a CD for the fans and a good introduction to their music.

Magnifique premier album de Marie-Marine Lévesque où celle-ci interprète sept chansons de son père Raymond Lévesque. Parmi ces chansons certaines sont inédites et d'autres ont été composées pour elle "Les ménés" et "Tic tac to". Marie-Marine nous offre une magnifique interprétation de "Spleen et Montréal" de Loco Locass. Un invité sur ce premier album, Yann Perreau sur les pièces "L'amour et la guerre / À nos morts". Le résultat est magnifique. Une production d'Yves Lambert (La bottine souriante).

Dans l'ensemble, voici un CD à découvrir à saveur folk-jazzé. Espérons qu'il saura faire découvrir Raymond Lévesque aux plus jeunes... et le talent d'une jeune artiste !

I'm not a real great Coldplay fan but I like their music a lot. So, as they said on their site that the new album would be an improvement... I just expected that and did not get it. Can we say that 5% of new ideas is really improvement ? Not for me. I thought that Brian Eno wold make a difference and that was not the case. Maybe the next one ??

BUT... I add the chance, like so many others now, to listen the complete CD an I like it a lot anyway. It is Coldplay at its best... (not better) and I'm satisfy with it. I'm not gonna rush to buy it but eventually. Viva la Vida is a for the fans and also... to discover them along with DVD Live 2003.

Yes, I was greatly surprised by that CD. I bought it only because the composer is the brother of Alanis Morissette and I wanted to give it a try, even before listening to it. I'm not inclined to listen "indian" music but his music is a great mix of oriental & occidental experiences. The result is a vibrant album that makes you want to dance (like the dervish dancers) and is at the same time very relaxing to listen.

All the pieces are easy to listen and if you are into meditation you should like it !!

I'm a great fan of Mark Knopfler since his debut with Dire Straits. That new CD is in fact nothing "new". It is a very nice CD, well done as usual and I like it a lot but... something is missing to make it a great work.

However it's worth buying because his music is still great and if you enjoy his other works you should be content with that one too.

Unless you are a collector or a great fan, I would not recommand you the CD/DVD edition because the DVD is too short (not even 20 min)and is just a presentation of studio where the CD was recorded, the guys working on it (musicians and producers) and you can "admire" Mark being a model for the cover. Cover that has a nice painting... that was a good choice.

Enfin un auteur qui n'a pas froid aux yeux, ni de peur de prendre position et remettre les choses en place. Étude très serrée des positions d'une église vaçillante et qui n'a plus le plein contrôle des idées et de ses "fidèles". Gillabert nous présente un point de vue tout aussi original que provocateur. On est loin ici des tendres Gérard Messadié et Éric Edelmann. Bien documentée son étude de la Gnose et de la place qu'y prend l'enseignement de Jésus nous remet les horloges à l'heure. Jésus y reprend une belle place parmi les grands maîtres de la spiritualité mondiale tel Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta, Lin Tsi, Krishnamurti. Une lecture qui ne vous laissera pas indifférent. À compléter avec ses autres ouvrages L'évangile voie de la connaissance et Le proçès de Jésus.

I just discovered Holly Brook yesterday while browsing on the Net and I'm already a big fan. Her voice is great, her lyrics too... but what I find the more interesting is that her CD is almost acoustic at least "unplugged". That is really rare today. She plays piano with dexterity and the musicians playing with her are great. All the songs are good but I prefer "Wanted", "Giving It Up For You" Saturdays" and "Curious". Some songs reminds me of Suzanne Vega and at times Sarah Mclachlan or Dido. Give it a try, you will not regret it !!

I'm not really a fan of Christmas albums (or even the Xmas time anyway) but I really like Sarah's music. So I bought her new CD because I knew it would be more than a Xmas album. And I was right. Her selection of songs is great and it sounds like a Sarahs' cd. I specially love "Christmastime is Here" with Diana Krall. They sounds great together. She also covers well Joni Mitchell's "River" and Gordon Lightfoot's "Song for a Winter's Night". All the other songs are great too so... if you like her other CDs don't miss that one.
