FINALLY!, Feb 24 2004
Six Feet Under is one of the best shows I have seen, with the exception of the third season, and finally, I can add the second season to my collection. The second season is much like the first season, interpersonal reations exposed through conversations with the deceased patrons of their establishment, sex, lies, the usual and unusual. The third season went horribly wrong between the first and thirteenth episodes, when they walked away from the formula that worked, but successfully regained composure in the end. For issues like homosexuality, corporation take over, death, life, sex, career, the cast tries to find their way through the world. This is a very good show and well worth paying to watch, except the third season, take a nap through that.

One of the best HBO productions, Feb 10 2004
I have to say that the first and second seasons of Six Feet Under are on the top of my list for creative story lines and are both well worth every penny for the DVD, however the third season was horrible and is only worth watching for the first and last episodes of the season. HBO productions like OZ and Six Feet Under are well ahead of anything the networks have done and I hope that AOL Time Warner and Alan Ball get back to making a quality product.

While still good, it could be better., Feb 9 2004
Having watched the series from its beginnings on Showtime, I can honestly say that the blending of sci-fi and mythology is one of the best I have ever seen. Season 6, having aired on Sci-fi channel as opposed to Showtime, I was leery of what they might do to the already well formed storylines, but was pleasantly surprised at the production quality and continuation of the storyline. Though the story as of late hasn't been up to par with the rest of the series, it is still a lot better than anything out there for sci-fi fans. For the disillusioned fans of Star Trek (due to the horrible Enterprise series), I recommend the entire series and the new episodes on the Sci-fi channel.
