Not content to rest on their laurels, everybody's favourite college dropouts are back with a second edition to their viral hit Loose Change.
You might be wondering how this "second edition" differs from the first. The answer is, not much. It's still basically a concentrated mass of stupid. A lot of the same old blatant errors and intentional falsehoods are still there, they just removed a clip here and there for copyright reasons or for being so far out there that only the looniest of conspiracy theorists could swallow it.
This edition of the movie has already been superseded by "Loose Change: Final Cut", which isn't much better either.
Unless you're a dyed-in-the-wool Truther just looking for something to show off on your bookshelf, I really don't see why you would want to buy this DVD.
This doesn't really stand out from any other Truther rag. Biased to the extreme, it ignores the wealth of evidence that things really happened the way they did. It concentrates on misinformation and hyperbole spread by such top-notch investigative journalists as Loose Change and Alex Jones (sarcastic) and buffs it up with a few contrary eyewitness accounts. It's almost as if Gaffney wears a set of mental blinders.
Typical for a Truth rag, Gaffney doesn't so much piece together a story from all the available evidence, but rather he makes up his own compelling fantasy with whatever weak evidence he can find to support it.
This book might be of interest to you if you've already chosen your camp (Truther vs myth debunker) and want something to entertain yourself or reinforce your beliefs. But if you're looking to actually learn something about 9/11, you'll feel cheated.
Aside from the rather crappy Battery medleys of Du Hast and Bück Dich, it's a pretty sweet album. Problem is, what they're shipping to most stores is a ... single with only the original version of the song and the JXL remix.
So if you want the real deal, you're going to have to buy here.
