Dear America: Where Have All The Flowers Gone? The Diary Of Molly Mackenzie Flaherty
by Ellen Emerson White
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars We Can Relate to This One, Sept. 25 2002
This book is one of the few (possibly only) Dear America book thus far that the modern reader can truly relate to. We have heard of the people, places, and events mentioned; they are familiar to us. While everyone may not agree with the political views set forth, everyone should agree that the author has presented an interesting read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Class; Good for Home, Sept. 9 2002
Though this book is meant to be an aid in the classroom, I found it highly enjoyable even for the casual reader. It informs while entertaining. By using the medium of a girl's diary, the author is able to show facets of pioneer life not often brought out. This book is well worth the price, both as a fun read and as a useful reference.

The Clue on the Crystal Dove
The Clue on the Crystal Dove
by Carolyn Keene

3.0 out of 5 stars Nancy Drew Comes Through Again, June 23 2001
"The Clue on the Crystal Dove" is a typical Nancy Drew book. Nancy, Bess, and George are off to visit Nancy's aunt Eloise in New York. While they're there they plan to also visit the grand opening of a collection of glass birds. You should know by now that Nan can't go anywhere without stumbling into a mystery. I found this book especially predictible in that I figured out who the culprit was the very first time we met him/her. Reading this book, however, is not a bad way to spend a summer afternoon.
