Highly readable and almost entertaining. This book breaks it down into simple parts and makes complex tasks easy and understandable. And it encourages you not to give up at key points along the way.I still have to figure out 'classes' though. I'm considering skipping that chapter all together.

I have been reading McKinnon's book off and on for the past few weeks. Not only has it given me a whole new appreciation for beer, but also many excellent reasons to continued drinking it. The first beer recommendation I took was the four star Muskoka Cream Ale brewed by The Great Lakes Brewing Co. I was able to pick out a few of the flavors from the descriptions i.e. dried apricots, plum. Maybe it was my inexperience, or the harsh lighting conditions of The Beer Store, or the fact that the box seemed a little weathered. It took the girl at least a minute to find it....
