2.0 out of 5 stars Theatre of Pain, Nov 10 2003
This review is from: Theatre Of Pain (Audio CD)
1985's Theatre of Pain was the first big hit for Motley Crue. It had two hit singles with a cover of the Brownsville Station's Smoking in the Boys Room and Home Sweet Home. Those are both fine songs, but both can be found on the various greatest hits albums the Crue has, other than those two tracks I would say City Boy Blues is good, other than that this album has nothing to offer.

1.0 out of 5 stars A return to form but...., Nov 10 2003
This review is from: New Tattoo (Audio CD)
New Tatoo is a return to form for Motley Crue, but it lacks good songs. Sure the opener Hell on High Heels is good, and the cover of the Tubes song White Punks on Dope is good, but the remainder of the tracks are simply dull and uninspired. I like the fact that they returned to their original sound, but what good is it when you don't have quality songs on the record. It is cool, however that Randy Castillo is the drummer now, I would recommend either Dr.Feelgood or Shout at the Devil.

3.0 out of 5 stars Human Clay, Nov 10 2003
This review is from: Human Clay (Audio CD)
Creed's Human Clay starts off good, with even quite a few enjoyable songs, but after a while they all start to sound the same. Human Clay is still a good album though with Higher, Beatiful, and With Arms Wide Open, as highlights of the album. Pretty enjoyable for the right price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Among on of their best albums ever., Nov 2 2003
This review is from: Vicious Cycle (Audio CD)
Lynyrd Skynyrd's new album Vicious Cycle ranks among some of Skynyrd's best work. The whole album is pleasant, but Red,White and Blue is the highlight.I bought the album because of that song alone, highly recommended for fans of the original Skynyrd. This is the only album I own of the current lineup.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent live album!, Nov 2 2003
This review is from: Live (Audio CD)
Steve Miller live is a decent live album. The song than what is missing on the CD is available on the cassette version.Steve Miller live is a live CD containing hits mainly from The Joker,Fly like an Eagle, and Book of Dreams, with a few songs thrown in from other albums. The song choice is excellent in my opinion, but the performances of on the album aren't very good. Fun if you enjoy live albums but not essential.

5.0 out of 5 stars great but minor flaws!, May 2 2003
this a is great live cd,the performances are good.the only thing wrong is that the cd version cuts off two songs that were on the tape and record.I have both the tape and cd and i'm disappointed that they cut off the two tracks so the album could be a single disc set instead of a two disc set.get the tape if you can!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool!, May 2 2003
This review is from: 1986-1997 Live (Audio CD)
Warrant live, this CD is actually from one concert in 96.Many good songs made it on the CD,but there are many good songs that didn't make it also. The sound is as good as most live albums have.My only complaint is that some of the songs are incomplete, they perform a portion of a song, then they go into another song.Good CD for fans, casuall listeners should get Cherry Pie,DRFSR,or The Best of Warrant to start out with.

4.0 out of 5 stars music is good but.................., May 2 2003
This review is from: Best of, Volume 1 (Audio CD)
The Best of Van Halen doesn't really do the band justice. For the Diamond Dave portion, many classica are skipped. The Hagar portion is closer to hitting the mark, but it still lacks a few essentials. The songs that made the album are good, but this is an incomplete picture of Van Halen's best music. You'd be better surved with Van Halen,VH II,1984,and 5150.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hagar's best!, May 2 2003
This review is from: 5150 (Audio CD)
Van Halen lived on in 1986 when they replaced DLR with Sammy Hagar. While 5150 is put down by many fans of early Van Halen. This is some of Van Halen's finest work to tell you the truth.Dreams,Why Can't this be Love, and Summer Nights are the best tracks. The whole CD is very good.I would rank it with Van Halen,Van Halen II,and Van Halen 1984.The Hagar era never reached these heights again though.

5.0 out of 5 stars good stories and good humor, May 2 2003
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
No one tells stories like Mr.Clower.I saw him at fair a few months before he passed away and I got to meet him and even have his autograph. His stories are great, and funny. This is a good introduction to Jerry Clower.Only flaw is the sound quality of the disc isn't that great.
