5.0 out of 5 stars THE ULTIMATE SINGLES COLLECTION, July 17 2004
This review is from: Singles Box (Audio CD)
One of the most ultimate Blondie collections to own.
Sound- 5 out of 5
Picth perfect sounds! You can here everything!!!
ORIGINAL ARTWORK
DISK 1: "Rip Her To Shreds" (From the album "Blondie")
"In The Flesh" (From the album "Blondie")
"X Offender" (From the album "Blondie")
Three great songs from the debut album. This is when Blondie had first started out-not a bad start!
DISK 2: "Denis" (From the album "Plastic Letters")
"Contact In Red Square (From "Plastic Letters")
"Kung Fu Girls" (From the album "Blondie")
"Denis has its great French, "Contact In Red Square" has a James Bond mood to it, and "Kung Fu Girls" is a kick-butt song!!!
DISK 3: "(I'm Always Touched By) Your Presence Dear"
(From the album "Plastic Letters")
"Poets Problem" (Bonus Track from "Plastic Letters")
"Detroit 442" (From the album "Plastic Letters")
"Detroit 442 is a great rockin' song, "Poets Problem" and "(I,m Always Touched By) Your Presence Dear" are beautifully done.
DISK 4: "Picture This" (From "Parallel Lines")
"Fade Away And Radiate" (From "Parallel Lines")
Both are well done songs and will always be!
DISK 5: "Hanging On The Telephone" (From "Parallel Lines")
"Will Anything Happen" (From "Parallel Lines")
Blondie can't do a bad song!!! There all great!
DISK 6: "Heart Of Glass (7" Version)
"Rifle Range" (From the album "Blondie")
"Heart Of Glass (12" Version) (From "Parallel Lines")
"Heart Of Glass (Instumental)
The 7" version of "Heart Of Glass" is only (4:11 sec) while the 12" is the original from "Parallel Lines" and is (5:50). "Rifle Range" is another classic! "Heart Of Glass" (Instrumental) is o.k., but I usually stay away from the instumental versions.
DISK 7: "Sunday Girl" (English Version) (From "Parallel Lines")
"I Know But I Don't Know" (From "Parallel Lines")
"Sunday Girl" (French Version) (From "Parallel Lines")
Both "Sunday Girl" (English) and "Sunday Girl" (French) are great. I prefer the French version! It sort of puts a little more class into it.
Disk 8: "Dreaming" (From the album "Eat To The Beat")
"Sound Asleep" (From the album "Eat To The Beat")
"Eat To The Beat" is the album with a little more "POP" music to it then the others. In my opinion.
DISK 9: "Union City Blue" (From "Eat To The Beat")
"Living In The Real World" (From "Eat To The Beat")
"Union City Blue" is a classic!
DISK 10: "Atomic" (From the album "Eat To The Beat")
"Die Young Stay Pretty" (From "Eat To The Beat")
"Heroes" (LIVE)
"Atomic" is one of those "New Wave" songs!
Disk 11: "Call Me" (3:32 sec version)
"Call Me" (Instumental)
"Call Me" (12" Version)
"Call Me (Spanish Version)
"Call Me (12" Instrumental)
"Call Me" is the theme from "American Gigolo" a great movie I might add! "Call Me" the 12" version is even better!!!
DISK 12: "The Tide Is High" (From the album "Autoamerican")
"Suzie and Jeffrey
Two Great Classics!!!
DISK 13: "Rapture" (From the album "Autoamerican")
"Walk Like Me" (From the album "Autoamerican")
"Rapture" (Disco Mix)
"Live It Up" (Disco Mix)
Blondie does "Rap"! One of the finest CDS in the collection!!!
Disk 14: "Island Of Lost Souls" (From the album "The Hunter")
"Dragonfly" (From the album "The Hunter")
1982 was when "The Hunter" was released. Blondie was struggling, but still managed to release some great songs!!!
Disk 15: "War Child" (From the album "The Hunter")
"Little Caesar" (From the album "The Hunter")
"War Child (Extended Version)
"War Child" is one of the greatest songs from "The Hunter"!!! The extended version is even better!
There you have it!!! A Blondie fan's dream!!! Enjoy!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Berlin reminds me of Blondie! Thats why I like them!, July 9 2004
This review is from: 1979-1988 Best Of (Audio CD)
A great band that did some wonderful songs back in the 1980s. "Take My Breath Away" is a sure hit from the movie "Top Gun". Terri's vocals I just astonishing in this song! "No More Words" is just one of them dance songs that everybody likes. "The Metro" is very energetic and is definetly the sound of Berlin all the way!!! "Sex (I'm a...)" is one of those songs with suggestive lyrics. Its a great song and one of the bands best! Berlin is just like a younger version of Blondie.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE SECOND ALBUM, July 6 2004
This review is from: Plastic Letters (Audio CD)
We go in a little bit further to 1977. The album itself has some great rockin' tracks to help it out. "Denis" is the highlight of the album, and is fantastic with the French! Then we go to "Touched By Your Presence Dear" which is still today great!!! This may not be the bands best album, but is one of the more punkish and rock n' roll types than the others. Other tracks like "Detroit 442", "Fan Mail", and "Contact In Red Square" are just as good!!!
ROCK ON DEBBIE!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Long Awaited Reunion Album!, July 3 2004
This review is from: No Exit (Audio CD)
Blondie has scored again with "Maria", a true pop gem! "Screaming Skin" is just one of those fun songs that you can listen to again and again. "Forgive and Forget" sounds like it wanted to be a disco song, but its still great!!! Overall this is a great reunion album done by one of the greatest bands in history!!! What more can I say!!! This was the first Blondie Album I bought! And I got it cheap for $4.99! Even though it was worth more than that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Next Best Thing To Parallel Lines!, July 3 2004
This review is from: Eat To The Beat (Audio CD)
Blondie has just made their way to the fourth album and they new it had to be good. PARALLEL LINES made them famous for what they were and EAT TO THE BEAT had to be about the same measure of what PARALLEL LINES was! This is the second best of Blondie without a doubt. "Atomic" is Atomic, "The Hardest Part" is one of Deborah Harry's finest vocals in a song that I have ever heard, "Union City Blue" is melancholy and sad, but great! Another must own for the Blondie fans out there. You won't be let down.

5.0 out of 5 stars PARALLEL LINES-A MASTERPIECE, July 3 2004
This review is from: Parallel Lines (Audio CD)
This is the album that made the band famous! "Heart Of Glass" is one of the greatest disco songs ever to be made! Blondie is the definition of Punk. You can't go wrong with a Blondie album. Even when Debbie Harry went solo she still made great albums and music. Well this hits every note with crystal clear sounds! "11:59" is also a highlight song, along with the well known "One Way Or Another", "Hanging On The Telephone", and "Picture This". This album is what put Blondie on the map of music history. Being a huge fan of Blondie, this is one of their greatest albums ever! Clem Burke's drumming is astonishing and amazing! Blondie is bound to be one of the world's greatest bands in the past 30 years. Every song on the album is lovable!!!
Great Band! Great MUSIC!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars BLONDIE NEVER LETS ME DOWN!, July 3 2004
This review is from: Curse Of (Audio CD)
The new album proves that Blondie still can get the job done and do it right! There new single "Good Boys" has an upbeat pop/diso tune and is just great! "Shakedown" is a rap song with firepower to it, I still love "Rapture", but this is a good song! Golden Rod, Background Melody, and Undone are all great!!! I hope they do at least one more album!

I wasn't even born in the '80s and I truly love everything about that era. The fashion the trends, and the music was great! I know more about the '80s then my parents do, and they grew up in the decade! Well this book says it all. It covers everything about the decade and more!!! The kids in my school don't even know what 8 track tapes are!!! I think that it is a great thing to know about the '80s even though I was born in 1990. Well get the book! It will teach you loads of stuff!
