1.0 out of 5 stars One Sided, Ill-Informed Twaddle, Aug. 23 2011
If what you want is a one-sided, ill-researched, and misguided view of what happened in Caledonia then this book is for you. This book is such a right-wing, racist farce. It's conservative flag waving bias at its worst. Looks like Canada's quickly getting its own Coulter. Sad days indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ah ha-larious!, Nov. 26 2006
If you like James Bond (or live in a caravan) then this series is for you! More fun than a weekend at the archery range with Spandau Ballet, it's six whole episodes of Alan Patridge in his glory days. Pity they never gave him a second series.

1.0 out of 5 stars Welcome To 1995 Kids, Nov. 16 2004
Everybody is freaking out about Halo 2. "You can play it online against people! That's way better than playing a computer!" Oh yeah, that's great kids. WELCOME TO 1995! Us Windows PC users have been playing on the internet against "real people" since Doom 2 and Duke Nukem 3D came out with the release of Kali95 in 1995. People seem to treat Halo 2 like it's the grand opening of multiplayer gaming. Please. Quake and Doom led the way and MMORPGs are leading it even further. I suppose when a game that rips off Everquest and every other MMO on the market comes out for some crappy $200 console system in a few years, they'll say the same thing. I can see it now... "Halo 4 is amazing! You can level your character and play with your friends in a party!"
Sigh.
By the way, I played it to see what all the fuss is about. Both it and Halo 1 and average first person shooters with no interesting storying, multiplayer advancements, or strategy to pull them anywhere out of mediocrity.
Boring boring boring. It was all done and done better nine years ago on PC.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Confusing Mess, July 16 2004
I've always had problems with this story and I had to by the extended version on this DVD to make sure I wasn't just going nuts. It IS one of the better McCoy stories, and that's the good news. The bad news is that it's still awful. There's WAY too much going on in this story to have it make sense in the short amount of time television gives you to explain it. There's tons of subplots, various theories about what's actually going on in the story, too many characters, and the whole thing just comes off as a pompous mess. I was hoping that an extended version might help to explain it. It does, but it only scratches the surface of explaining what's happening. Would have made a great book, but it was a crappy script for this show.

5.0 out of 5 stars X-Com Rules Supreme, July 14 2004
This review is from: UFO: Aftermath (CD-ROM)
Call it X-Com 4 I guess, but as usual, I was impressed. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Why they don't make more X-Com games, I'll never understand.
