Mr. Heiserman is a stand up guy!, Mar 16 2004
I had the wonderful opportunity to speak with him, before and after reading the book. I was impressed at the amount of time he took to research and develop his ideas into concrete strategies and examples that everyday investors can use. As the author of the book Futures for Small Speculators and several other books on high-risk investments- I thought that I would find the information rather boring- and treading over the same old tired reasons to buy and hold stocks. This was never the case. Mr. Heiserman proved to me that the same kind of concentrated effort that I use to trade fast moving markets, can and should be applied to stock picking for the long term. Buy a copy of this wonderful book if you intend to retire with a decent nest egg. Noble DraKoln Liverpoolgroup.com

This is solid book that has depth, Feb 5 2004
This book covers so much in the derivatives marketplace. After being involved in the business for 12 years and writing three books on futures and commodity derivatives I was definitely refreshed and enlightened by Mr.DeRosa's book.

Great book to start with!, Feb 5 2004
As the author of the book "Futures For Small Speculators" I tend to be very critical of books that discuss my industry. Although this book had a few editorial mistakes, Mr.Gotthelf still did a solid job of getting his point across. For a beginner this is a great start. For more indepth analysis I would go to Mr. Cornelius Luca's books.

We are a brokerage firm that sponsors Series 3, Jan 23 2004
We are a commodities brokerage firm, liverpoolgroup.com, that trains in house brokers, sponsors brokers for the field, and now other company's trainees, on passing the series 3. This product is great. It is conducive to learning about futures and someone using this book will have a easy time understanding how to pass the test. If you are interested in other resources to pass the Series 3 don't hesitate to contact me.

Training in house brokers with this is impossible, Jan 23 2004
We are a commodities brokerage firm, liverpoolgroup.com, that trains in house brokers, and now other company's trainees, on passing the series 3. This book is impossible. It is not appropriate or conducive to any type of learning about futures and someone using this book may actually run afoul of compliance issues if they claim to have used this guide for learning. If you are interested in better resources on learning how to pass the Series 3 don't hesitate to contact me.

I have done the first couple of parts of a dozen part system, Jan 15 2004
I am the author of the book Futures For Small Speculators and Single Stock Futures For Small Speculators as well as the president of Liverpoolgroup.com. Our focus is in the futures, commodities, and option business. We trade oil, cattle, gold, currency etc. By being a published author I thought it was enough. Mr. Harding forces you to push the envelope and did a little deeper in order to leverage each one of your talents or skills to move to the next level in client acquisition and more importantly retention. He constantly makes the distinction between "good service" and doing a "good job". They are not synonymous and play an important role in helping you when it comes to rain making. This book showed me MANY examples of how to guide and direct new business to the company. I was astonished that I was doing somethings right, but the things that I was doing right were being negated by the actions I was doing wrong. This is a great book and was a joy to read. One reading is not enough. This book must be read three to four times with a highlighter and a notepad- so you can write down the numerous ideas that will occur to you as you read the book. Keep handy as a reference. The only thing I wish is that the book had used a slightly larger type face. It is problematic when you want to take notes.

Who doesn't need a little rain?, Jan 15 2004
I am the author of the book Futures For Small Speculators and Single Stock Futures For Small Speculators as well as the president of Liverpoolgroup.com. Our focus is in the futures, commodities, and option business. We trade oil, cattle, gold, currency etc. And each one of our employees is an "independent" contractor. The problem with that is the fact that often times this very independent entrepreneurial group has a hard time working together to develop client relationships. Everyone is competing against everyone else. There is little to no synergy or teamwork. This book showed me MANY examples of how to guide and direct the individuals of the group to be more cooperative with one another and how to help them make more money. I was astonished that I was doing somethings right, but the things that I was doing right were being negated by the actions I was doing wrong. Over and over again Mr.Harding says that rainmakers get in their own way when it comes to training other potential rainmakers and he is right! If I had not read this book I would have lost some valuable members of my team due defection. This is a great book and was a joy to read. One reading is not enough. This book must be read three to four times with a highlighter and a notepad- so you can write down the numerous ideas that will occur to you as you read the book. Then keep this book as a reference that you can go back to time and time again.

Gold trader looking for answers!, Jan 15 2004
I am the author of the book Futures For Small Speculators and Single Stock Futures For Small Speculators as well as the president of Liverpoolgroup.com. Our focus is in the futures, commodities, and option business. We trade oil, cattle, gold, currency etc. And each one of our employees is an "independent" contractor. The problem with that is the fact that often times this very independent entrepreneurial group has a hard time balancing trading with finding clients. Since many of us in the office have a martial arts background I bought a case of this version for the office. Everyone loved it and felt that Sun Tzu inspired them. Mr.Kaufman's use of the word "warlord" instead of "general or emperor, etc." really resonated with the brokers. They felt that the markets were a battlezone and they were the "warlords" attempting to tame it. I am impressed that this book was such a moral booster. I will be checking out some of Mr.Kaufman's other works.

I'm tired of people calling him Wade "Crook", Dec 7 2003
Before Wade Cook noone was sharing such detailed information of investing. Unfortunately, so many people expect a perfect result that they miss the point. As an investing professional for the past 12 years, I have literally seen clients sue their brokers, not for losing them money, but for not making them enough gains compared to "Marge" down the street. Many people that whine and complain about Wade Cook are the same people that don't take responsibility for their investing. They want a guru, not a teacher. This book is a great way to tap into hidden stock profits, statistically nothing works 100% of the time. As the author of three books on futures and commodities investing I enjoy Wade Cook's solid focus on education and critical thinking. Use his ideas as a jumping off point not the end all be all.
