Now Worth the $5, Dec 23 2012
This is a piece of junk. Maybe if it was reduced to about 5 songs and made into and EP, it would be OK.

Sound, Oct 27 2012
I think the selection of music is great but, the sound quality is poor. I like to listen to classical music with my Bose headphones and in almost all of the tracks, there was background hiss, which is anoying. Surely with such s high profile disc, someone should have taken the time to remaster it.

Sound of Waves, April 10 2012
I really love this idea of having music from the sea as a background. Unfortunatly, the wave are too loud and overpower the music, in some case blocking out the guitarest.

Overblown, Sep 27 2010
What a piece of Junk. I really loved Santana, but a whole album of remakes of other peoples songs just was too much.

Brian Does It Again, Sep 6 2010
This is a wonderful album. Brian puts his touches on the Gershwin music, but does not stray too far from the original intent of the music. This rates up there with Smile, which I consider to be his other great disc since he got away from Mike Love and what ever is left of the Beachboys. His voice is not what it once was and he does not try to go where he could have gone before. The background music is first rate as is the recording. Well done Brian

Where Is the track list, Jun 24 2010
I do not understand why their is no track listings given for many of the CD's that are "suggested" for me to purchase. How do I know what I am getting. Most people will not buy something without at least having an idea of what is on it.

Fab, Nov 26 2006
I am a Beatlemaniac. When they first came on the scene, I started buying every peice of music they put out. I would like to preface my comments about this album by saying that I still think the songs are best heard the way the group recorded them. That said, this is fantastic. The remixing and editing and so on is fantastic. Sure there are a few things I don't like (Sun King played backwards), but this is really something to listen to. The DVD is unbelievable. The Dolby 5.1 is fantastic. From the sounds of insects in Because to the fadeout on A Day In The Life, everything is crystal clear. So, get your Amazon order in today because this is something special.

Fantastic, Oct 31 2006
When I first saw this collection, I was skeptical about how someone could release 43 songs on 4 CD's. Surely the quality of the songs would not be up to the quality of someone picking only 12 songs for an album. The performance must suffer because of the quanity of music. But being a Vince Gill fan, I decided to purchase it. I could not believe it. The music is excellent. They are well written and performed and are of the same outstanding quality we have to come to expect form Vince Gill. I cannot pick only 1 or 2 songs which are standouts because there are so many to choose from. I would hate to be the person having to decide which songs will be singles. The only comparable to this would be the Beatles or Beach Boys who would in the mid sixties release 3 or 4 quality albums a year. Vince Gill has done the same thing, except he has put it into one package and issued it all at once, whereas the Beatles would release one ever 3 or 4 months. This is a fantastic CD that I would strongly recommend. There are no clunkers here.

Great Live Recording, Sep 10 2006
I usually do not like live recordings, but what a great recording this is. If there is a fault with the CD it is that almost every track has a Brazilian influence. I have no problem with that, but perhaps he could have included some of his other works. The group is really tight and the audience seems to be really enjoying themselves. So put the CD in the player, turn up the volume a little, close your eyes and imagine you were there and enjoy.

Brian Wilson's Greatest Accomplishment, July 6 2006
This is Brian Wilsons best work. I have had this album on vynil, cassette and finally CD. It is as fresh sounding and relevant today as it was almost 40 years ago. Although people like Mike Love are trying to take credit for some of his work, this is definitely an all out effort by Brian to surpass the other great albums of the time (Beatles Rubber Soul etc.). He put all his creative energy into this album and when it was finished, he seemed to just run out of steam and was never able to duplicate this body of work. Smile is a great album, but it pales in comparison to this. It is a matter of personal taste on which album is the best of all time, but in my view this is it.
