Faible, Feb 25 2011
Beaucoup moins intéressant que les deux premiers, produit moins soigné, dommage. S'il en sort un quatrième j'attendrai de l'avoir entendu avant d'en faire (ou non) l'achat.

Bad acting 101, Oct 17 2010
It's all been done before but with talented actors. This movie should only be shown in acting school : "Bad acting 101". Totaly unconvincing perfomances all around especially by Emily Hampshire, could that mean bad directing? Don't waste time or money.

Avoid, April 4 2010
The first fifteen are an absolute bore...so is the rest. Don't waist your time and money. Inept scenario, never thought much of Meg Ryan but why a talented actor like Timothy Hutton would accept to play in such a lemon is beyond me.

NO MORE!, May 10 2008
There was a time in the sixties when I used to gobble down anything they trew at me, even sitar music, just as long as it was cool, NO MORE! I snaped out of it before the sixties ended, thank God, and grew a critical brain (kept the long hair however). I'm a simple soul and to me watching this pseudo intellectual movie is a waste of time, you want to know about Dylan watch the Scorsese documentary.

Pierce Brosnan's best, July 5 2006
The movie is mediocre at best, but it is worth watching because of Pierce Brosnan's interpretation of this improbable caracter, certainly his best work yet. Hope he shows us more of his talent in the future.

Just be carefull what you wish for..., July 5 2006
I allways wished someone would make a movie that really reflects what life is about ; life does not come with a senario or background music or a convenient ending, it ends abruptly, in the middle of a ''scene''. After seeing ''The Widow of Saint-Pierre'' I wished someone would make another movie with Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche. Well someone did but shouldn't have. The relationship between the two caracters does not, as mentionned elswhere, deteriorate ; it is rotten from the start and just stays that way, everything in this movie just ''stays that way'' save for a sensationnalistic scene which is poorly brought about and which I will not describe should you choose to put yourself through the ordeal of watching this pseudo-intellectual, amateurish flic. I did not find Daniel Auteuil's acting up to his usual standards, not very convincing, perhaps he was also bored...Juliette Binoche had it easy, she just kept that blazé expression through the entire movie...Maybe she was bored too. This director should certainly not be compared to Bergman, Hitchcock or Antonioni. I truly got nothing from watching this movie but I guess I asked for it, spare yourself the ordeal.

My friend never washes his jeans..., Dec 4 2005
To quote another person who has made a review on this book : ''Arthur Braverman takes you on a semi-autobiographical adventure''. Indeed he does and he should'nt have, in the context of this book the author's personnal and very cicumstancial comments add nothing to his otherwise interesting description of the zen masters. Do you really want to know that one of his friends never washes his jeans until they are in rags and then he has to buy a new pair of jeans? And this goes on and on, if you think you have the patience to endure pages after pages of insignificant comments of the kind then this book is for you, if not go to the source or better still just sit in zazen.

Very disapointing, Mar 18 2005
At best this movie is predictable. The caracters are stereotyped and unidimentionnal, the actors are totally unconvincing perhaps because they are limited by the simplistic senario and possibbly because they are ''overdirected''. What you see in this movie you have seen before. The buildup of the relationship between the two lovers is shallow and weak and does not exactly sweep you off your feet. The obstacles prsented by the fact that they are from different cultural and/or racial backgrounds has been exploited much more brilliantly in numerous films some that date back a few decades like ''Guess who's coming to dinner?'' and more recently ''The Notebook'' Avoid this movie unless you are studying acting, directing or screenwriting and want to learn what not to do.

If you are to have only one manual on Iaido, this is it., April 18 2003
Iaido Sword : Kamimoto-Ha Techniques of Muso Shinden Ryu is in itself a work of art. In less than 250 pages it covers all aspects of Iaido ; historical, philosophical, the etiquette, description and care of the sword and clothing, the different stances and cuts, warm-up exercises, a glossary, references. The 12 katas of the Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei Iai (SeiTei Iai) and the 4 series of the Muso Shinden Ryu are precisely described in the text and abundantly illustrated with clear photos and graphics as are all the corresponding bunkais. Even if you are a practitionner of another style of Iaido this is a must. A precious learning and teaching tool. The best all around manual on Iaido yet.
