I think I'm getting dumer..., Jan 7 2004
...but I really liked this movie. I came close to loving it, but I faltered about the time the plot did. It is great escapism, and that Colin Farrell is quite attractive.

Love it!, Jan 7 2004
Our school uses this National Geographic video extensively in our Foreign Policy unit. I am glad to see it here!

We are not alone!, Nov 18 2003
This book is a hilarious look at what most girls go through as they transition from girl to woman. We form "clubs" wherein we are idiots who have adventures. I'm sure all of us could add a chapter or two in the same vein.

Not so Tasty, Nov 18 2003
I didn't like this book. Truth be told, I still haven't finished it, and I bought it over six months ago. The characters are boring; the situation (while ripe with potential) drags; and the recipes don't even sound good. I am supremely disappointed, as I usually love what Nora Ephron does. Bummer.

Best of the Best, Nov 18 2003
I love Biography and the work they do. This is a great snapshot of the top 100 people in the last thousand year. While I disagree with some of the placings, Biography does back up their choices with solid reasoning. It is fun to watch.

Love OSC - Liked First Meetings, Oct 9 2003
As a huge fan of OSC, I wait eagerly for his next book to come out. However, this one was disappointing on a couple of levels. First, it is really short. I read it in two hours, tops. Secondly (but related to the first) the stories were too short to allow the characters to flex and move, as they do in his other works. I wanted more about John Paul as a child, meeting Theresa, and definately more about the introduction of Jane. (That part still has me confussed.) Card is a master storyteller, no doubt. And while this offering is good (enough), it is not his best work. I would love to see this book "recalled" and beefed up. Nevertheless, I give it four stars because the characters remain true to themselves. The text creates a believable backstory to Ender and the puppet-like control the government has over him and his family.

Better listened to than read, April 8 2003
I listened to this book on the audio CDs and found it much more enjoyable than reading it. O'Reilly's voice and tone come across much clearer and much less annoyingly smug.

Almost as Good, April 8 2003
Ender's Game will forever be the king of this series, the best there is to offer. Nevertheless, this book holds its own against the heavyweight competiton.

Sadder by Force, April 8 2003
This book had to be the saddest of them all due to the subject nature and the story line. However, Henderson did a great job guiding her readers through their grief.
