Awful. Just plain awful., July 13 2007
I am, and have always been, a huge huge Rush fan. I have been to upwards of 10 Rush concerts. I have come to "grow" with their music, i.e. I understand that Rush will not put out another 2112, A Farewell To Kings, Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, etc. I have actually enjoyed albums such as Counterparts, Test For Echo and Vapor Trails. However, S&A has got to be one of their worst albums. Ever. The album starts off well. Far Cry is a good song, the best on the album. After that, though, it's all downhill. Armor & Sword was very slow and very boring. Workin' Them Angels was also very draggy...no pep. The Larger Bowl, same thing. By the time I got to The Way The Wind Blows, I was thinking that I've heard that song already...that's because all the songs sound exactly the same, and they are all draggy and boring. There are a couple of exceptions. Spindrift is OK, and Malignant Narcissism is cool. But then you have to hear songs like Bravest Face and Good News First in between, and any hope of salvaging the album is lost. I am definitely going to the coming Rush concert on the recent tour. However, knowing how many songs are being played of S&A, this is the first Rush concert I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to. And that truly is a shame. Skip this album. If you are a true Rush fan, just put this album on "ignore". If you are a new Rush fan, pick up one of their earlier albums like 2112 or A Farewell To Kings, or Counterparts and/or Test For Echo if you want newer stuff. But do not get Snakes & Arrows. You'll thank me later.

best season, Oct 19 2005
It's hard to pick a "best" season from your all-time favourite television show, because it's all the best, and you don't want to discriminate against any other season. However, if I did have to choose, Season 4 would be my choice. I pretty much think every episode in Season 4 is a classic. If you had money for only 1 Cheers DVD set, pick up this one.

a good season, but far from the best, Oct 19 2005
I would actually like to give this 3 1/2 stars, and I rounded up to 4 because, well, this is Cheers. Season 6 is the first season for Kirstie Alley's character Rebecca Howe. While there are some classic episodes (eg Home Is The Sailor, Paint Your Office, Bidding On The Boys), there are some mediocre ones as well. It takes a couple of seasons for Rebecca to truly hit her groove. If you are not a fan of Rebecca, I would hold off on buying Season 6 until you've seen Seasons 7 and/or 8.

Soulfly is back, and so am I, July 29 2004
i was getting quite worried. here i was, a die-hard max cavalera and huge soulfly fan, falling out of touch with soulfly. soulfly's debut was nothing short of brilliant...ranks up there with the best metal albums of all time. i could recognize any one of the songs on this album within the first 2 seconds. 'primitive' was a huge step down...had its moments, but all in all was not as good. nevertheless, i could recognize most of the songs when played. '3' was a good album, some real good songs. however, even after listening to the album, like, 50 times, i could not recognize any of the songs. it was like i was out of touch with soulfly. then along comes 'prophecy'. aside from some glitches (which will be touched on), the album is awesome. the songs blew me away. and, the best part is i have re-connected with soulfly. highlights: 'prophecy' - best song on the album by far, and one of soulfly's best all time. the wailing guitars at the beginning capture you. 'i believe' - a song with incredible meaning and purpose. not to mention killer riffs. 'born again anarchist' - a flashback to sepultura days. glitches: 'moses' - i'm still debating with myself whether or not i like it. some parts of it are great (guitar riffs), some parts are utter crap (chorus). a good experiment, but not good enough for a soulfly album. 'soulfly IV' - man, what is it with soulfly II, III and IV? soulfly I is the best piece of instrumental music i have ever heard. it is inspiring, touching, meaningful, beautiful. soulfly II, III and IV have been EXTREMELY poor attempts to duplicate it. there's no passion behind any of these instrumentals. i look forward most to hear the new soulfly instrumental whenever a new album comes out, and time and time again i have been disappointed. it would be better if they just left it out altogether and admit that nothing can hold a candle to soulfly I. i cannot end the review on a bad note. soulfly rules. that's better.

could be much better, Mar 23 2004
i dislike the songs chosen for their greatest hits. bottom line, if you were asked to choose gn'r's greatest album, would you choose appetite for destruction or use your illusion (I or II)? a true gn'r fan knows the answer to that is clearly appetite. so then why is there only 3 songs off appetite and 7 off the use your illusions? 'yesterdays' instead of 'mr. brownstone'? 'you could me mine' over 'nighttrain'? please. that's insulting.
