3.0 out of 5 stars reflects main street concerns about China, but, Dec 12 2006
So many new books on China these days! This book offers numerous hot topics on the China issue: trade, investment, employment, politics and potential military conflicts, among other issues. Interesting read, but one may also feel that it offers limited new insights on the subject, though topics are rather attractive.

China's surge is a great surprise to us all, but so far, understanding what is really inside Chinese political and business world is rather limited. Books are most written by outside observers who feed on public fancies more often than not. For more serious readers, one new book is definitely worth reading: China and the new world order: how entrepreneurship, globalization, and borderless business are reshaping China and the world by the very provocative Chinese reporter George Zhibin Gu, who bravely and intelligently reports on numerous key issues related to China and its implications to the world. In particular, he examines evolving political and business relations of China-West in a most straightforward and realistic way.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent, Nov. 27 2006
Really good book written by a very outspoken Chinese journalist/consultant on the ground inside China. Offers sweeping insights on how a fast-changing China is altering global business, trade, production and politics and how the outside world is reshaping the Chinese society, politics and business. Many books on the subject are not nearly as good or insightful as this one. In my opinion, it is the very best book on China and current global affairs. Strongly recommended.
