This release seems to be a little in and out. Some of the songs sound better than others. Lacks a little detail on the upper end on some songs and the bottom end also not as deep on some tracks. Once again the Vinyl itself on this reissue is great very quiet.

I never did own this on vinyl till now so I have nothing to compare it to. I think this is the best sounding album from the first three Kiss issued. The only issue is the lack of bottom end on some of the tracks, other than that the presentation is very good. The vinyl itself is once again very good no surface noise to speak of.

This vinyl reissue is excellent, the original I had was in and out with regards to depth and dynamics. The reissue is good all the way through. Some upper end detail is a little lacking but great depth and dynamics. The vinyl itself is not bad but certainly not dead silent. I had to return one copy because of a long consistant pop going through 4 songs, but the second one was ok. If you like this album and want an improved soundstage compared to the old copy get it.

I was hoping for an improvement in dynamics or bass depth with the Vinyl version of this fine album by Hole. Unfortunately I got neither. You can save your money and listen to your Cd because there is actually a little more depth on the CD making the Cd a little warmer sounding. The Vinyl quality itself very good no surface noise to speak of.

This reissue of Obsession not obession is on a nice piece of Vinyl. The sound quality of the music is slightly better than my older copy from the seventies. The low end is a little deeper but the dynamics are about the same. It's not a great recording dynamic wise.

This album to me is all over the place soundwise. Some songs have depth others don't. Some songs have upper end detail others don't. Some songs are dynamic some are not. The vinyl seems just a little more dynamic than the CD, but not much. It's not a satisfying listen for the most part. The vinyl itself is very good not much surface noise.

The music is good but the Vinyl sucks. The CD actually sounds better than the Vinyl. The Vinyl edition mastering has less upper end detail and less lower end depth. The Vinyl itself is crap, ticks and pops everywhere. The good thing is if you buy the vinyl you can throw it out and keep the Cd. Not to mention that they left three good songs off the LP having only 11 tracks instead of the 14 on the Cd.

Nothing to complain about here. Good dynamic sound. Good upper detail nice low end extension. Nice quiet vinyl. Everything the way it should be. I hope this helps pave the way for more Country artists to start putting their music on Vinyl, this is a fine example of how to do it right.

While it is true this collection should have been put on a double lp beacause of it's length and that the sound is much quieter (about 7 decibals compared to average vinyl records) probably because of that fact. The sound quality is very good although the CD actually has more depth, again probably because the grooves on this record are so thin due to the length of the album. The vinyl quality is very good not much in the way of surface noise.

This in my opinion is the best album by Elton since Songs From The West Coast. Having said that the sound on this record sounds too dark. I had to turn down the bass and turn up the treble to even out the sound. I find that the albums I have heard produced by T Bone Burnett typically have this dark sound. The albums he has done with John Mellencamp of late sound this way too, I have to say I'm not a fan. The vinyl itself is the noisiest vinyl I have purchased on a new record for awhile, there is a lot of crackling and ticks all over my copy.
