This vinyl is slightly more dynamic than the CD but doesn't go far enough. It has less depth but the tone is good. It has a lack of upper end detail, the soundstage is only average at best. Not a very engaging listen. The vinyl itself is very good no surface noise to speak of.

This is an example of how vinyl is not always better. I know CD's were a fairly new thing back in 1986 and maybe the music industry was taking more care in how they made them as opposed to vinyl which at the time was on its way out of favour. The vinyl copy I have had little depth and sounded cold, the upper end detail was not good. The CD I have has more depth and upper end detail making it sound warmer more the way music should sound. If you think buying the new 2015 release on vinyl will be better think again, I returned my copy because it had even less depth than my original record. A vinyl cash grab. The vinyl on my original record is good not much surface noise.

This record was recorded in many different locations which is probably why some songs have more depth than others. The songs with good depth sound pretty good, the ones with less depth sound bright. The upper end is a little strong througout for my taste. This is consistant with the original record and CD. The vinyl itself is very good no surface noise to speak of.

This recording is tough to assess. It has a good warm tone with good upper end detail but everything sounds too far away like it's in the next room or looking through binoculars backwards. The original record from 1980 had the same problem even more so, yet the CD for whatever reason, maybe a different mastering, sounds a little bigger. Now the CD doesn't sound perfect, just a slight bit of a larger soundstage. Having said that if you listen to the record loud enough the problem gets less noticable. The vinyl itself is superb, no surface noise at all, great quality.

This album always makes me smile very amusing, unfortunately the vinyl condition wanted to make me cry. This recording lacks warmth due to the bottom end being weak giving it a bright sound. Like I mentioned earlier the vinyl itself is not good, there is surface noise all over the record with quite a few clicks and loud pops throughout. I prefer listening to the CD it sounds the same with no background noise, a vinyl cash grab.

Very good dynamics on this album. Tone is very slightly on the cool side but the thing that bothered me most is the sibilance on tracks 3,6 and 12 for that reason I listen to my CD instead, no sibilance there and just as good sounding. The vinyl itself is very good, I had some pops on track 7 right at the beginning but other than that the vinyl was very quiet with hardly any surface noise.

This is one of my favourite albums of the 90's. I am mesmerized every time I put it on. The sound quality leaves me a little confused. Shirley's voice seems a little too far back in the presentation as well as the percussion on some songs. This may well have been intentional I don't know. At 85 to 90 decibals (which should be loud enough) I find it hard to hear her voice and upper end detail is also hard to make out. The good news is if you turn it up louder this works itself out. The vinyl itself is pink and although not advertised is 45 rpm. It has some ticks and even a couple of pops but isn't altogether too bad.

This is a pretty good sounding album for the most part. It is dynamic and has pretty good depth, some songs have more depth than others. The tone is a little on the cool side for me, the CD actually sounded a little warmer but not as dynamic. The vinyl itself was ok, there were a few ticks that ran on here and there but not bad overall.

This is a pretty good sounding album. There is good depth, just a touch more than my CD. The only song with less bottom end is Sweet Surrender for some reason. Even though there is good bass on this record the tone is a little cool for me. The dynamics are good. The vinyl itself has a couple of ticks here and there but is mostly silent, not a lot of surface noise.

This Reissue sounds pretty much the same as my Original 80's copy. I was hoping to get a warmer sound on the new one but it didn't happen. The upper end is a little overpowering for my taste combined with a lack of bottom end on some tracks gave the record a cool feel making me turn down the treble to try and balance the sound out. The vinyl itself was very good only a few ticks mostly silent.
