A Fun Read!, Jun 1 2006
Detective Taylor McKennitt spent one evening making love to the perfect woman named Claire...only to find her gone when the morning dawned. But fate is not going to let these two walk away from each other. Taylor is going to protect her no matter what. He's also going to make sure that Claire realizes that loving him is not a bad thing. It's all good. Dr. Claire Hunter has a reason for walking away from Taylor. He's with the police department and tragedy has hit very close to home when it comes to police work. Her father was a policeman and so was her twin brother. Both were injured in the line of duty. She wants to live a safe life and that means no yummy detective. But, when her life is threatened she finds that she only wants Taylor to rescue her. Perhaps loving Taylor won't be a risk but instead the smartest thing she's ever done. This was a real good "feel-good" romance that combines a little suspense, a lot of humor and a good deal of sexual tension. This is a follow-up to her story "The Damsel In The Dress" and despite this being a part of a series...it is still a strong stand alone.

Second Effort By Ms. Blue!, May 30 2006
Tristan DuMaine is weary of the fighting. He has a young daughter named Clare and his greatest concern is to finish his castle so he can be assured of her safety. But what Tristan wants and what Tristan gets are two different things. He knows his enemy is waiting in the woods outside his gate what he doesn't know is he's going to have to fight a foe he never planned on encountering. Siobhan has a reason to hate the Norman menace and when she has a chance to finally get a bit of revenge with her brother at her side. Together their band captures DuMaine Castle and the lord of the manor Tristan. Forcing him to wed Siobhan is only part of their plan...but will she be able to do what they've planned all along which is to kill Tristan or will love get in the way? Readers may have a problem with the less then heroine like behavior of Siobhan. I admit to having a difficult time liking her and had a hard time understanding where Tristan found the attraction. Still this is a different kind of read so it entertained from that stand point.

Ms. Fairchild has brought the early 1900's to life and it was a joy to visit her make believe world. I eagerly look forward to the sequel of this charming tale.

A Steamy Read!, May 26 2006
Faith Weston is a police officer and head of the K-9 unit of the Clarkston Police Department. Things are not right in her city. There have been some unusual deaths that can't be explained and her superior doesn't seem to want her to investigate the strange cult-like murders. When she goes on a call and doesn't wait for back up...going so far as to leave Rambo her dog in the car Faith finds out what secrets the Clarkston police department are hiding and her life is going to change in ways she could ever imagine. Jim London is a werewolf and he is working undercover as "Rambo" in order to find his best friends killer. He has a tough job ahead of him because he can't help but be attracted to the beautiful and sexy Faith. But will he be able to stop the evil that has found its way into the town of Clarkston and protect the one woman he could care about? This was an entertaining paranormal as only Ms. Knight can write. Jim and Faith were strong and likable characters with sizzling chemistry that will warm the reader. Ms. Knight has again provided loyal readers a fine read that is both satisfying and unique.

A New Series By A Talented Author!, May 26 2006
Kerrigan is the king of Camelot and Darkness. He is ruthless and cares for nothing until he captures a spirited peasant who is unlike anything he's ever known. Despite the fact that her sassy attitude speaks to a part of him he didn't know existed, he will do what he set out to do. He will either kill Seren or barter her away in order to claim King Arthur's Round Table. What he's not counting on is Seren waking his long dead heart or makes him think his life could be better. Seren has no idea what her future holds. She dreams of one day being a freewoman and weaving her wonderful fabric for sale to the nobles. Imagine her surprise when she is taken by a handsome knight and then forced to face the fact that Merlin and Arthur aren't a made up characters and that her life is directly tied to Camelot. Will she be able to accept her destiny and Kerrigan as he is or will she turn her back on her chance at happiness? Ms. MacGregor's latest series is off to a grand start with "Sword of Darkness." Ms. MacGregor has taken the Arthurian legend and given it a twist making this a unique series that I eagerly look forward to continuing. Kerrigan is an anti-hero and she has done a wonderful job of turning this character into a hero the reader will care about. This demonstrates the talent of this writer.

A Struggle, May 26 2006
Josie McCall has been trained as a mercenary by the best her father. Now years later she is ready to find her spot in life. She doesn't fit in within her father's world and isn't sure she's going to fit in at her new job as a computer guru. But before she can move on she visits her father only to find out he has taken on a partner. The one man that makes her feel like a woman and he hates her. Her plan is to help her dad and then leave before she makes a fool of herself with Daniel...until her father disappears. Now she needs Daniel "Nitro" to help you find him. After her father asks her to contact Nitro he arrives and together they search for those that want Josie's dad dead while trying to stay steps ahead of their attraction. Nitro comes to Josie's aid even though she drives him crazy with lust since they first met and she has made her feeling about him clear...or has she? Maybe Nitro has had it wrong all along. The second book in the Mercenary series is riddled with issues. Readers may have a hard time relating to either character since we are never really given a chance to know them. Josie who is supposed to be hard as nails is too soft to be believable. As a result the relationship between Nitro and Josie seems contrived. This read seemed a bit more "mechanical" rather than romantic and was not as great as I had hoped it would be. Nitro and Josie's story had a great deal of potential but it fell flat on execution.

Another Fun Read!, May 26 2006
Yes! It's another Bad Boy anthology which once again offers the reader a fun sexy romp in three short stories by some of today's hottest romance authors. In Lori Foster's "Playing Doctor" Dr. Axle Dean is shocked and surprised when he spots sexy Libby Preston at a party. Not exchanging names they enjoy a sizzling kiss and a little more in the garden. When he finds out Libby's secret...he hightails it out of there...only to be haunted by the memory of the time they shared. Imagine his surprise when he walks into his treatment room and finds her sitting there. Life has just gotten a little more complicated. Will these two find a happy ending? In Erin McCarthy's "The Lady of the Lake" Kindergarten teacher Violet Caruthers thinks she's found the perfect man to be the father of the baby she's always wanted. Well, this is until she falls off of his boat...while dressed in a bikini, and left behind. Things look like they are only going to get worse...until she is rescued by baseball hottie Dylan Diaz. These two people are about to find out that things are not always as they appear and there is fun in finding red hot attraction where you least expect to find it. In HelenKay Dimon's "Hardhats and Silk Stockings" Whit Thomas has the unfortunate luck of tangling with Hannah Bridges...one of the most frustrating women ever created. Too bad he also suffers from a twisted burning attraction for her. Imagine his surprise when opportunity hands Hannah over to him for one night of no hold bar pleasure. Will they walk away from what they find...or will they grab and hold it with both hands? All three stories are sexy fun reads with entertaining characters. This is a perfect "vacation" read that offers some really "Bad Boys" who finally meet their match! Falling in love should be so much fun!

A Read That Delivers!!!, May 25 2006
Nikki DuMonde works for a haunted tour company in the amazing city of New Orleans. Here she guides people through the haunted past of a city that is as mysterious and unique as it's past. So you can imagine her surprise when art begins imitating life. When a friend and co-worker dies under mysterious circumstances and then her ghost seems to find Nikki when she's all alone Nikki begins to wonder if perhaps if she might just be loosing her mind. After all normal people don't see ghosts let alone talk with them right? She's further shocked when she realizes Andy's ghost is not the only one she's been seeing. So when she meets Brent Blackhawk and the attraction is instantaneous and he understands what she's going through, Nikki can't help but wonder...is this all a product of her imagination or is Brent the one man who can save her from the one person that will do what they must to see her dead as her friend Andy? This is one of my favorites by Ms. Graham. She has vividly brought New Orleans to life as well as it's eclectic and dynamic past. Making this a vital character to the story. The suspense and ghostly addition makes this read a page turner from the very start. Add to this the sensually constructed chemistry and attraction between Nikki and her Brent makes this a romance not only believable but more importantly...entertaining. You need look no further for a top drawer romance that delivers on all counts!

An Emotional Read!, May 3 2006
Annabelle Lawson let her heart rule her actions once before and she learned a very valuable lesson...at the hands of her brother's cousin and enemy Magnus Wallis. A chance meeting on a train these two people connect and spend a summer together, talking, sharing a passion neither of them can ignore...but Annabelle has no idea the man who has captured her heart is Magnus. He has lied about his name and when their summer of idyll is over...her heart is broken. Years later Magnus is back claiming he is a different man. He was wrongly accused of so many things because of his father's past...he now just wants to put that troubled past where it belongs and claim the love of his life. He may have been living in America but he has not forgotten Annabelle or the way he feels when he is with her. Will he be able to fix the hurt he dealt her so long ago? This was an amazing read. We met Magnus in "Love According to Lily" and he was not a nice guy...at all. Ms. MacLean's talent shines with her ability of turning Magnus from baddie to the ultimate hero. The lucky reader will be able to experience this romance from the very beginning. First meeting to the happy ending with everything in-between. Ms. MacLean evokes all sorts of emotions with this read. I highly recommend this author.

She cares and despite his best effort he finds out so does he. He now needs to find a killer who wants Tess dead before he looses the one person he'll ever love. Ms. Rose has done it again. She is one talented writer who can draw out a suspense read to the final spine chilling end. It was fun to re-visit with Abe, Kristen, and the rest of the Reagan family. Aidan and Tess are compelling characters and the nightmare Ms. Rose creates for them is top drawer. This is one author I highly recommend.
