With an evil protagonist second only to Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty (and perhaps Ursula in The Little Mermaid), this is a great show--though really small kids might be scared. Also, its values reflect its times, so you're not going to see much in the way of feminist activism here...

An excellent, simple book about how you can improve the air your breathe, identifying 50 houseplants that can help (both by description and by good color photos), how well they do it with respect to certain common chemicals, and an accessible description of the science behind the findings.

This is great if you're not worried about reselling your home or if you're in a market that supports a lot of the kind of things they show in this book, but it's short on practical suggestions for folks who want to incorporate healthy ideas into a regular-looking house.

I read the entire second Uplift trilogy, but only because I have a completion compulsion. This made good commuter-train reading, but it was a disappointment after the first Uplift trilogy.
