5.0 out of 5 stars A great reference!, Sept. 21 2010
Magical Housekeeping is a great little book! It's very rare for a book this size to be packed with this much diverse information, but Tess Whitehurst manages to do it.

The book contains tips for cleaning and decluttering, rituals, meditations, and everything in between. Useful if you're trying to bring some magic into your home, or if you just want to declutter!

4.0 out of 5 stars A diverse collection of prayers from all over!, Sept. 21 2010
I was a bit skeptical in picking up this book, but I'm glad I did. The Book of Uncommon Prayer offers prayers from a wide variety of religions, as well as poetry and other tidbits. It makes a handy reference for those of us that have carved our own religious path.

I would recommend this book to anyone who's not a "hardcore" Christian, as, if you are, you may find offense in some of the writings. However, if you're just curious, be you a believer or not, then check it out!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good little read!, Sept. 21 2010
The Worrywart's Prayer Book is a good little read! It's written in a humorous and light way, making it a good read, or useful as a reference to base your own prayers on. Each section includes quotes from the Bible and from others, making it a handy and diverse little book.

I wouldn't normally have picked up this book, but it was in "Loonie Deals," so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad that I did...definitely a good read for worrywarts like me!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best herbal reference book I've got!, Sept. 21 2010
The title of the review says it all. This book is laid out in a very user-friendly way, and it is packed with information. All herbs have one or more full colour pictures, making identification a snap. Medical and culinary uses are listed for all herbs where applicable, and there are even recipes and ideas for how to use the herbs.

Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in herbs.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Dream Interpretation Guide!, Sept. 14 2010
This review is from: The Dream Bible (Paperback)
The Dream Bible is a fantastic reference for the interpretation of dreams and the symbols within them.

The book is organized by categories of symbols, each of which has a full description of the symbol, how it may appear, and what it may mean.

Some may argue that the book does not cover "enough" symbols, but I think they do a pretty good job in 400 pages. To cover every symbol ever dreamed would require far more space than they had for this book.

I highly recommend this book both to those interested in interpreting their dreams (and the dreams of others), and those interested in symbolism in dreams.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most comprehensive and complete crystal books I've seen!, Sept. 14 2010
The Crystal Healer is a beautiful book. I picked it up one day on sale, and am so glad that I did!

The book is well organized, with crystals sorted primarily by colour. Each entry has a clear picture, as well as a full description including correspondences, uses, and general information.

This book makes crystal identification and use a breeze for beginners and experienced crystal users alike. I highly recommend it to those with an interest in using crystals for healing, or simply as a crystal identification guide.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Symbol Dictionary!, Sept. 14 2010
The Complete Dictionary of Symbols is one of the best and most complete, comprehensive books about symbols that I have seen.

Information is packed very densely into this medium-large book. Each page is crammed with all the information you could possibly need, and then some!

The book is written in very user-friendly language, making it accessible to anyone who may need to consult its pages, or anyone who is simply interested in symbols and symbolism!

I highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in symbols and their meanings!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Best Compact Rune Book I've Seen!, Sept. 14 2010
This little book is great for those just starting out with the runes, and also serves as a handy reference for more experienced users.

Peschel's book is organized very clearly, and provides a lot of information in a very small package. This book is ideal to carry around wherever you go...fitting in a purse or a pocket. The information she provides is accurate and in line with other things I have read, but the size of the book makes it a much more useful resource than something huge.

Highly recommended for beginners, and also for those who know what they're doing.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST Tarot Book I've Ever Seen!, Sept. 14 2010
The Tarot Bible is, as the title states, the DEFINITIVE guide to the cards! This book is great. It has in-depth descriptions of each card, as well as a huge selection of spreads.

I'm an experienced tarot reader, and I still find things in this book I didn't know. It's suitable for beginners and more advanced readers alike.

The book is laid out in a very user-friendly manner, with a general description of the tarot at the front, followed by the individual cards, and then spreads. All spreads are clearly described so that even someone with no tarot experience whatsoever could successfully do an accurate reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I could give this book TEN STARS!, Sept. 14 2010
"The Path of a Christian Witch" is a wonderful treasure trove for those of us who follow or are interested in following the path of Christian Witchcraft.

The author manages to blend her personal story with useful information for both the new and seasoned Christian Witch. St. Clair promotes the fact that "it's ok" to be both a Christian and a Witch...something that is difficult for many new to the path to understand.

I read the book in one sitting the day I got it, and have read it twice more since then. Definitely worth your money if you are or think you may be interested in Christian Witchcraft.
