5.0 out of 5 stars Right on the money, April 10 2004
Mr. Laermer and Mr. Prichinello's approach to explaining the ins and outs of the media is a terrific resource for learning about the "PR World" that exists out there that the average person is totally oblivious to. In a really accessible writing style you can become extremely savy yourself whether you use the information as general knowledge or if you employ some of their techniques in marketing yourself or your own business. I not only use this book in a University class that I teach on Media, but have also used their suggestions which have helped me to expand my law practice. It's a must buy book...JCH

5.0 out of 5 stars A True Lover of NYC, Aug 25 2002
Mr. Laermer has written a guide book that is extemely useful to both Natives and tourists. In addition, it contains many inciteful and hilarious commentaries showing his profound love for what I think is the greatest city on the planet. In prepping for my commitment ceremony with my companion, we have bought a couple of dozen copies of Natives Guide to give to our out of town guests. We have people who have never been east of the Mississipi as well as European friends and we feel confident that this book will give them a comfort level so they will be able take on the challenge of touring the city. I highly recomment this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Guide to a New World, Mar 15 2002
In his book, Mr. Laermer takes an in depth look at new technology, global interaction, and general ecomomic business sence and provides and inciteful guide to trends and developments that we can most assuredly look forward to in the coming years. Mr. Laermer has not just stood alone as a self-prognosticator but has interviewed some of the most important thinkers of the day to help him in his analysis and thereby making a must read as we try to map out the future for ourselves and our society. I'm so impressed with the contents of the material that I am already considering adding it to my syllabus of required reading for a course in Internet and Cyberlaw that I teach at Hofstra, in order to give the students a hollistic, accessible and well rounded back drop to the rest of the course material.
