Rush job, Jun 20 2004
The concert was okay, but many of their best songs weren't played: Victim of Changes, Ripper, Tyrant, etc. The Screaming for Vengeance DVD (check Ebay) was WAY better. I personally don't like their radio friendly songs from Turbo or Ram it Down. Judas Priest should never have made videos. For such a great band, the videos (except Painkiller, which was EXCELLENT) came off as silly- SO bad that they weren't even good. Add a flimsy inner jacket and you get a package that seems like a half hazard rush job. Let's hope they put out a DVD of their Ozzfest tour (with Slayer). That would be truly great!

Where's the Bass?, Jun 13 2004
If this were mixed like MOP, this would get a 5/5. All you really hear is guitar, drums, and vocals. The bass was turned down so low that you don't get the oomph from earlier CDs. Also, some of the songs, like Frayed Ends of Sanity seemed long just for the sake of being long.

Cash in, April 25 2004
There are a few decent tracks here, you can hear where some bits were used on future songs. Otherwise, Manson had a reason why most of these songs got tossed- they suck. However, the sound quality wasn't bad. The DVD was merely songs off the cd synced to the video. Watch half way closely and you'll hear a bass line going and the bassist on the video is standing idle with his hands nowhere near the strings! It was good for heckling purposes. I'm a big Manson fan and bought this just to have it as part of the collection. I think Berkowitz was just trying to cash in.

This is great!, April 15 2004
This cd sounds like it was performed practically yesterday and it' well over 20 years old! Others may disagree, but I enjoyed hearing the old songs (with 5 members). Some of their later stuff was good but lacked the rage of the first two albums. There is even some Jello banter between songs- live DK isn't the same without it. DK fans should own this cd. Even if you don't like the set list, it's at least a great piece of DK and punk history.

A movie for the whole family!, Mar 7 2004
Being a parent of a teenager, I can say that this movie is kid safe. My daughter and I watched this together and were laughing our butts off. There are also some lessons for overly uptight parents to learn here. The biggest being: Let kids be kids- they'll have the rest of their lives to become adults with unrealized dreams. Kids will love it and adults will love it. There's tons of references both will appreciate. Black may set some folks off with Tenacious D. Fair enough. He has the same attitude but it's completely clean. Tenacious D fans should add this to their DVD collections. Non fans should thoroughly enjoy this as well. This movie stands on its own.

Incredible, Mar 4 2004
This is one of those bands that's underrated but probably have a huge following. All three of their albums are solid, heavy, and original. This is also the type of band that will stay the course and put out great metal without pressure to sound radio friendly. After listening to Grip Inc, it's truly sickening to hear what my local radio stations call metal- a bunch of whiney poor me types who won't or can't even muster up a good guitar solo once in a while.

Can't get enough!, Jan 22 2004
Season 3, like the others, is truly awesome, especially considering they were working on a great epic movie while churning out these episodes. Some have spoke negatively on the commentaries, but I think they were perfect- concise, to the point, insightful, and funny- just like the episodes themselves. Bring on Season 4!

Only the intelligent "get" South Park, Jan 16 2004
What I found interesting about the movie was how we were shown that it's not Satan we have to worry about taking over the world- it's extreme, narrow minded knee-jerk reacting people (unfortunately those who seem to have the most power, or at least the loudest voices) who will be our undoing. South Park is some of the best satire I've ever seen, bar none. People who can't get past the profanity and farts to hear the show's message aren't worth my time and energy. They can go back to their Seinfeld and Friends and live on in blissful ignorance. Parker and Stone are the big middle finger to these people. Bravo! Long live the 1st Ammendment.

Buy this NOW!, Nov 7 2003
Anyone who has never heard or watched Tenacious D should know that these are two very talented guys! Like the 80's needed Spinal Tap and Cheech and Chong, the 21st century needs Tenacios D! This is also the most affordable entertainment I've ever got ($13.99)!

What metal is all about!, Oct 5 2003
First rate video and sound quality captures a band that hasn't let up in 20 years. The only other band with the same age I can say this for is Slayer. It was great seeing footage of Overkill from the early years with the original line up. I've followed these guys since 1987. They're better in some ways now than they were back then. Go buy this now!
