Fantastic rhythm and my daughter loves it, Nov 13 2011
My 14 month old loves this book. She's had it for about 6 months. The rhythm and rhyme are great for language development, and the sounds throughout make it very entertaining to read and listen to.

Great for parents and educators, Nov 13 2011
Great resource and food for thought for both parents and educators. Discusses how to teach kids to think critically about the world around us and our impact on the world.

Tasty but not what I expected, Nov 13 2011
As someone with celiac, this book is helpful but most recipes contain xanthan gum, which many people are sensitive to and cannot tolerate. If I had known that before buying, I would not have purchased this book.

Good for beginner teachers, Nov 13 2011
Good for beginner teachers but many concepts and ideas are very basic and not very innovative. A lot of what they show is just organization that teachers pick up quickly once they've started working.

Fantastic, easy to use resource, Nov 13 2011
Fantastic resource. Easy to use for busy parents with large pictures and a simple format. Pictures show adults and children signing. Signs are organized into categories and tabbed for easy reference.

Great motivator and teaches effective skills, Nov 13 2011
The principles in this book are educational, fun, and effective. Kids learn how to choose books at their level, strategies to improve their reading level and understanding, and to think critically about what they've read and written in response to the reading. I'm a teacher on call (substitute teacher) and have seen classrooms where Atwell's principles are implemented with amazing results. The kids enjoy reading, engage in meaningful discussions, and make connections.

Fantastic and must have for celiacs, Jan 7 2011
This is the most fastastic cookbook I've come across so far. I've used it for 2 years and just bought a copy for my sister. I'm celiac and sensitive to sugar, and it is difficult to find recipes that taste good, are healthy and low calorie, and turn out. Every recipe in this book turns out well and tastes really good. My husband (who can eat anything) even likes the end results. I really like that the ingredients are natural and usually on hand, and that every recipe also includes the nutritional content. This is a must buy for anyone with gluten and sugar allergies or intollerances.
