5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, Aug 24 2007
This review is from: 10,000 Days (Audio CD)
Tool has impressed me with all of its releases, and 10,000 days is no exception. From straight forward rock ("the pot") to atmospheric brilliance (Wings for Marie), Tool continues to amaze. It's not a short cd at all, most of the songs surpass five minutes. Easily worth every cent. For a little bonus packaging is really cool.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brutal Death Metal, Aug 24 2007
This review is from: Masticate To Dominate (Audio CD)
The cover pretty much covers what you can expect from this album. It's sexually explicit, violent and obscene. I basically bought this album for the cover (because it was so extreme) but I was suprised with how good the actual music was. The vocalist can deliver some slow and heavy vocals, rapid quick vocals and even a few shrieks here and there. The drums are decent, and the guitars/bass are good. The lyrics are some of the most brutal I have read. Just don't let this fall into the hands of your mother or girlfriend (the lyrics are usually about torturing/killing women). I am impressed with this CD, but the lyrics are pretty ridiculous at times (example: "Feed from my balls slut pig"). Check it out if you're into death metal and if you're not easily disturbed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning Blackened Death Metal, Aug 24 2007
This review is from: Demigod (Audio CD)
Behemoth started out as a typical black metal band. They have slowly been drifting away from thier original roots and now, after the release of Demigod, they have fully embraced brutality. And what a breath of fresh air! In a world full of mediocre death metal (aborted), Behemoth has certianly earned thier title as the most influential polish metal band. Everything about this CD is amazing, the drums are furious and the guitars deliver complex rifts with effortless precision. Nergal's vocals are impressive and unique. All in all, you'd have to be crazy not to have this in your collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good death metal, Aug 24 2007
This review is from: Kill (Audio CD)
Everyone interested in the death metal scene knows about Cannibal Corpse, and for a good reason. They have been pumping out brutal music since 1990, so you think that they would have gone stale by now, right? You couldn't be more wrong. This album kicks it off with "The time to kill is now" (thier best opener since "I will kill you" off of The Gallery Of Suicide) and relentlessly assaults your ear drums 'till the end song, Infinite Misery (an exellent instrumental).
They are definitely talented with thier instruments (except for paul, who dosen't sound that incredible on the drums; he's okay though) and the vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher delivers some great death growls/shrieks. The lyrics are good, however they are not the most extreme in the genre.
For someone who is looking to get into the death metal scene, this would be a great cd to start your collection. Die hard metal fans will be impressed with the instrumental/vocal talent. A definite two thumbs up.
