5.0 out of 5 stars Must have book for anyone considering getting into MACRO!, Mar 14 2004
The photos that pack this great book are amazing! If you are even considering getting into macro photography you should own this book. I found myself up late into the night unable to put it down. Afterward I was so eager to get out and explore this new world that I had never put much thought to. Who would have thought tiny bug and other "creepy crawlies" would be so colorful and fascinating?

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised., Mar 14 2004
Turning my photographic endeavors more toi nature, I decided to start doing my homework, so that I better understand the wildlife in my area.

I must say that I thought there would be photos, but I found illustrations instead. But hey are excellent, although not every animal variation is shown. The author goes into amzing descriptive detail - much more than I expected.

Whether you are a nature photographer in the Maryland area, nature enthusiast, or student, this book is a steal at less than $15!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding guide for macro photographers, Mar 14 2004
Getting into macro photography, I was discovering all kinds of weird insects, and had no idea what they were. I knew that to be as professional as possible, I needed to be able to identify my tiny subjects as well as know their habits, preferred envirnonment and so on...

I like the way this book is organized. You have a table of contents of sorts that lists bug shapes. They are organized by similiar shape, and color.

Not ment to be read from cover to cover, this book is excellent for throwing into my camera bag for to be a field reference.

Digital Photo Processing
Digital Photo Processing
by Chris Tarantino
Edition: Paperback

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I expected, Mar 14 2004
After getting "Digital Photo Processing" by Chris Tarantino and flipping through the pages, I was somwhat dissapointed. This is definately for an entry level digital photo enhancer. Most of the techniques are pretty obvious, and a few demonstrate an unprofessional technique and result. I was considering other titles in this series, but now, I think I'll invest in a different line of books.

Understanding Exposure: How to Shoot Great Photographs
Understanding Exposure: How to Shoot Great Photographs
by Bryan Peterson
Edition: Paperback
25 used & new from CDN$ 2.13

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding presentation of essential concepts, Jan 2 2004
I loved this book. It is absolutely perfect for beginning photographers as well as for advanced shotters who need a refresher (that was me). The information was presented in an easy to understand way and example photos were given with each conecpt or technique,

If you haven't mastered the topics in this book, or do not use it regularly, you need to read it here! It's a very small investment for such valuable knowledge.
